Casas Capitan — Hotel in Cóbano

whatever you do NOT accidentally exit the beach through this property, if you aren’t careful you’re in to be reprimanded for 10 minutes by the lady there. I entered the beach through an adjacent public path, walked on the beach for 20 minutes, and when walking out of the beach must have not seen their “private property” sign. My mistake.

What followed was the worst interaction of my whole weeklong trip. A lady working there saw me on her car, got off, and lectured me for more than 5 minutes. Saying things like there must be rules in my country (?) and that I deliberately ignored the signs. She also said they owned the beach in front (which is impossible).

I also offered to just go back to the beach, which she refused because she didn’t want me to walk through the property, she ended up letting me out the gate, but what a horrible condescending experience!!

Please do not accidentally walk from the beach...
