El Facon Grill & Bar — Restaurant in Cóbano

Food is incredible. Atmosphere is very nice but service was so so bad. We ordered a ceviche to get started while waiting (btw a loooong time) for the steaks. The ceviche never came and when the steaks arrived, I asked the waitress I ordered it with about it. I was greeted with a "no you never ordered it" to which I replied "well actually we did" to which the waitress replied "no you didn't" where a "I'm so sorry" would have been the appropriate answer. While eating the steaks, I ordered more chirichumi sauce. I had to ask again 15min later because it never came, I was 80% done with the steak... I'm usually not particularly picky about service but it's frustrating to see a place where the service does not match neither the food nor the prices. I gave my feedback to the manager who was "grateful" for it and gave me 10% off for the next time I come back... I don't think I will come back though. I really loved the vibe of this place. I would model an outdoor kitchen at my house after this restaurant. Very open air & well lit. We were the first people in the restaurant but more people showed up as the evening progressed. Service was good but our server got tied up with a large table at the end of our meal so we waited a little longer for the check. The hummus was really good as an appetizer. He brought it out a little late because we ordered a Caprese empanada, thinking there was not a complementary appetizer. The empanada was delicious regardless. We both ordered a milanesa, but my wife had the better one with tomatoes, mozzarella, and basil. Mine had red onions and provolone and it was just the same bite over and over again. Amazing food and ingredients quality! I know most Argentinian resteraunts are known for their meats, which I hear is also amazing at El Facon, however as a vegan, I was so impressed with their vegan burger! It was amazing!! Huge burger, with excellent bread, nice pile of fries, and absolutely delicious! Literally the best vegan burger option in the area, and actually that I've had in all of CR at this point.
