PLEASE READ:

This property looks stunning, however DO NOT go here if there is potential of rain. It is so loud that it’s unbearable, there is too much movement in the panelling, which means a single rain drop pings through the whole property. It is actually quite incredible that they have managed to construct a building that echoes a single rain drop at such a decibel.

That’s not the only issue, the cooking facility is of poor quality, the Teflon is coming off the pots and pans (this is a forever chemical, which is cancerous).

You will need to cook, as when stated the breakfast is included on the advert. They really mean “ we provide ingredients “. They do not cook it!

There is no form of heating or cooling the property at all! This is a problem when you are so high up a mountain. As it’s a lot cooling than what you will be use too.

BOOKING.COM advise us to leave the place, then released our card details to the people, who then off their own back, charged us for all the nights, when we stayed for one, as it was not how it was advertised. Booking.com advised us to just leave, then by leaving we forfeited the agreement. This was a disgrace by booking.com.

The reviews on booking.com are not what they seem, ALWAYS CHECK GOOGLE REVIEWS!!!!

There is zero form of entertainment, no games, TV or anything. So if you are having to keep the shivering kids entertained, while cooking the ingredients they have provided for the breakfast included option, at the same time shouting at your partner to facilitate a conversation who is standing a foot away from you. Then this could be tricky!

Please read the other reviews on google, they have all said similar things. Families have just gone after the first night.

My advice, block your card straight away if you have made the mistake of staying here and you think you will be leaving.

Good luck to anyone who...

We arrived at 7 pm (in the pitch darkness!) at the Finca and followed the clear instructions that had been sent us via WhatsApp. (There’s wi-fi at the gate). The directions to our cabin led us there perfectly. ||Calling it a cabin is truly reductive! ||It’s a little house, entirely made in wood and glass, overlooking the woods and surrounded by nature and silence! The space is split into two rooms with two double beds and one sofa bed, which was perfect for the four of us. ||There’s a kitchen corner, fully equipped, and in the fridge fresh milk and juice from the farm, plenty of eggs and bread for toasting, the local butter and jam.||On the fridge, a large papaya and a pineapple. Plenty to cover two breakfasts.||In the cabin, at night, you can hear leaves falling on the roof and the noises of the surrounding nature. At dawn, if fills with light! ||It’s so beautiful it’s beyond description!||Of course, being in nature there are a few bugs (even a small scorpion playing dead to then run away at full speed!) after all, that’s why we came to Costarica!||So it’s for nature lovers who enjoy simplicity. ||In the morning we took part in the farm life: the children brought milk to the very keen calves!||So a fantastic place: it was the highlight of our itinerary in terms of harmony between humans and nature.||Very helpful and discreet host, too, who helped us book a few activities while there and told us about the farm ethics...

My Family and I wanted to find a farmstay to experience Monteverde and this place was an awesome Gem. Pictures/Websites/Reviews does not do it justice. The price was cheap and they had accommodation for our family of 5. We stayed in the Riverfront Room.||Location: It was not hard to find at all. Just follow Google Maps. Roads were mostly ok. IT is located approx 10-15 mins from everything. Very close to 100% Aventura (for ziplining). IT is very secluded. You may want a 4x4. Our room was a tad far from the main area. Very beautiful and private. Animal and nature everywhere.||Room: IT was actually a small 2 bedroom house. There is a nice front porch to relax and take it all in. There is a small kitchen area with everything you would need. The wifi was amazing there. Bathroom had great hot shower than never ran out. They only provided body wash. Beds were ok. Overall, room was clean, but you have to be prepared for a few bugs. ||Service: Amazing overall. This was my favorite part. The first thing Thais (host) did was connect me to her "whatsapp" (messaging service. From that point, anything and everything that I needed, I would just text her. She booked tours for us and made great recommendations. IT was awesome. Breakfast was simple (toast, fruit, and eggs) but got us off to a great start.||||Hands down a really really awesome farmstay. I would...

The worst night we ever had - Haunted house!!! We looked forward to getting to the house after a long drive. The host was friendly and waited for us. It was a stormy night, and there was strong wind and rain. We got to the house - It wasn't as it looked in the pictures - it was outdated and not well-maintained, but it was ok for us to stay for a couple of nights. The roof is very thin - the rain was strong, and the roof amplified the sound of the rain - It was unbearable to sleep this way - the kids were terrified as it was very heavy and the wind came through the door like a hunted house - it was a real horror movie. My wife didn't want to stay, but it was too late to look for a new place. I reached out to the host, and he stopped being friendly and treat us that we are trying to find reasons to cancel the reservation and that it was too late to cancel it. We travel a lot - we never had such an experience, not even close! Early in the morning, we packed our stuff and looked for a new place - We couldn't stay there one more night. We were tired as we couldn't sleep all night - we had to waste time and go to sleep - we lost a full day of our trip. I wouldn't recommend this place to anyone. We come to vacation, spend lots of money and energy, and we want to enjoy and have fun and not waste our energy on this situation.

Wow. My wife, Daughter and I stayed here for three nights and loved it. This is a fully functional milk farm on a beautiful landscape. Scattered around the property are the various chalets which have various numbers of rooms. The one we had was two rooms they were just separated by a partial wall. Still, it totally worked with our daughter. The landscape is amazing. Some people we met saw a toucan in front of their house one morning. We saw lots of birds. Also the cows walk the trails in morning and evening right past our room which was really cool. Natalia who runs the rooms was amazing. She made awesome breakfast, gave us FRESH milk from the cows, and also was amazing at booking experiences. She booked us a night tour and a nature tour. I really can't recommend this enough. You do need to know this is just outside Santa Elena (like 7-10 mins to downtown) but the roads are gravel like all roads around town. If you have a 4x4 you're fine. A 2 wheel drive SUV is likely ok though. If you have a car just pass.
