We had an absolutely amazing experience during our stay at Monte Luna, a rental property in Monteverde, Costa Rica. This was by far the best Airbnb we ever stayed at, not only in Costa Rica. From the moment we arrived, it was evident that Ilfido and his wife Arelys were extraordinary hosts who went above and beyond to make our stay unforgettable. They attended to our every need, arranging tours and showing us incredible care throughout our stay. The property's location was nothing short of breathtaking, surrounded by the natural beauty of Monteverde. Its proximity to everything we wanted to explore made it even more convenient. The rooms were not only spacious and well-kept, but also impeccably clean, ensuring a comfortable and enjoyable stay. Ilfido and Arelys even gave us a complimentary fruit basket and coffee, which was a delightful touch that made us feel incredibly welcome. Our family had so much fun with their family dog, Bonnie, and their cat, Kitty, who added an extra layer of warmth to our stay. Our time spent at Monte Luna added an incredible dimension to our visit to Monteverde. We spent two days in the Monte Luna apartment - actually much too short. The accommodation is in a very nice surrounding with a breathtaking view. In good weather you can see the Golf of Nicoya from the balcony. The apartment was very clean, nice, comfortably furnished and equipped with everything you need.

The owner Ilfido is such a good person, helpful and accommodating. He speaks very good English and he takes time for his guests. He helped us in advance to organize a guided tour in the national park and a night walk. Everything went smoothly and can be recommended.

Our highlight: Ilfido invited us spontaneously for dinner with his family and friends. The evening was very cozy and entertaining. Muchas gracias por todo, Ilfido!

Monte Luna is the best place to stay in Monteverde! Arelys our host and her family made this place even more special. She was extremely helpful with giving us recommendations and helping with booking tours. We went on an unforgettable night walk with her husband who was an excellent tour guide. We got to play with Bonnie their cute puppy and even their friendly cat! Our room was very clean, their tap water is so fresh and tastes so good. Since Monteverde is so cool and windy we slept with our windows open, and no bug, it was nice and chilly at night and the beds are very cozy.
