What a find!!!! I have been in the trave industry for over 30 years and this is truly one of the best small hotels I have ever stayed at. From the moment the door is opened you are welcomed home. ||The rooms are large even oversized compared to regular hotel rooms. Beds are very comfortable and decor is quite Spanish with all the wood mohagany. ||There is a kitchen you can use and a lovely common area with classic music playing in the back ground. Small pool with an adjacent hot tub. There is a $25 surcharge to use the tub as the heat needs to be turned on 3 hours prior. We used it the first night we were there and it was well worth it. ||The breakfasts were incredible....either omelettes or typical Costa Rica. Lots of fresh fruit and fresh squeezed juice.||The owner Lily made us feel like family in the 3 days we stayed there. More than happy to answer all questions in either Spanish or English. ||The hotel is close to the airport and to do day trips from.||I will definitely advise this hotel...
Read moreA single mom setting off for a jungle adventure in Costa Rica with my two young sons and my 81 year old mother, I was a little nervous! From my first contact with Lilliana when I made the reservation to the moment her husband Tomas dropped us at the airport two weeks later, they were the warmest, most helpful, wonderful hosts for our first and last days in Costa Rica. I have never had such caring, personalized attention... when did we need to get to the airport, how did my kids want their eggs prepared, was my mother okay walking up the stairs... Lilliana's concern for our comfort was incredible. They even got my kids' football off the roof with all smiles :) The hotel is absolutely beautiful, with Lilliana's attention to every aesthetic detail. The pool is beautiful and though Lilly said it was too cold, my Montana boys jumped right in. This place is a real gem. Lilliana speaks great English. Next time we will definitely stay...
Read moreWe went to C.R. for 2 months. I had checked all hotels around Cariari and Alajuela. Found Casa Primo and called it to ask questions about their facility and services. I talked to Lilly, a delightful person and owner of this well managed bed and breakfast. Casa Primo is small, has an atmosphere of "being at home," Spanish house, rooms are spacious and very clean. We enjoyed every morning as Lilly surprised us with different plates, fruits and coffee. You can also let her know that you want dinner, she will ask "what do you feel like eating." Most of the time we would say "surprise us." We were never disappointed. She made reservations for us, gave us a car ride when we needed it and treated us "as part of her family.". On and off we were at Casa Primo several days during April, May and part of June. We highly recommend Casa Primo for location, service, property, and caring care for...
