This hotel isn’t fancy but it has everything that you need while staying in Costa Rica. The staff was pleasant, the room was clean when we got here and cleaned daily during our stay. It is definitely more family friendly over being a place to stay if you are primarily wanting to party.
The pool is nice and cool on a hot day. The open area outside is the perfect place to have breakfast each day. The rooms definitely vary based on what you ask for. We had a double room and it was pretty basic but nice. I was able to see into one of the queen and king rooms and they were more spacious and obviously an upgrade. Darn me for skimping out!
The breakfast is simple but delicious. Some mornings are eggs/meat, fruit, toast or pancakes, other days there are eggs (no meat), rice & beans, toast, and fruit. Always juice, coffee, and tea as an option.
The young lady that is primarily responsible for everything is a very hard worker and always very pleasant. We stayed here for 7 days and I intend to book here again, albeit in the queen room, when we...
Read moreAfter four months in Costa Rica I have found out what it means to be swarmed by mosquitoes. No, I was not in the jungle, I was sitting in front of this hotel on their side walk, watching the traffic go by, when the mosquitoes swarmed me. There is an open hole in front of this hotel in their courtyard, I do not know if it is a septic system or what it is ,but the mosquitoes breed in there. It was a most unpleasant experience. The rooms are very small, the bathroom is so small there is not even enough room for a mirror in it. It is a good location with easy access in and out, you do not have to deal with any Gates, it is...
Read moreThis is an inexpensive, quiet, clean and familial little hotel in the heart of Escazu. I walked to the lab for my covid test and to the Escazu Village (mall) to eat and have meetings.||||The owners were kind and outgoing and the room was clean. I felt safe even though i seemed to be the only guest (probably due to covid). I spent time sitting by the little pool area and it was quiet and clean. Delicious breakfast!||||The neighborhood is characterized by bars on windows (apparently ubiquitous in San José) but i felt safe walking around at night. Free parking. I would highly recommend this for an inexpensive...
