Awful condescending service. This place doesn’t know Korean BBQ from Panda Express. The (tall main waiter) was literally smug with me and treating me like I was incredibly dumb. He was very rude

The food was NOT GOOD and not to mention they cook on charcoal not gas so expect sparks flying at you randomly. The pork belly still had blue ink on it and was tougher than I’ve ever had.

The meat was totally unappealing and I didn’t even bother touching or consuming it. I didn’t even want it to go and I left it. They still gladly charged me without even having concerns as to why I didn’t even want to eat their food.

Notable mention: they brought us an egg soufflé that looked absolutely atrocious and tasted as such.

No one cared to ask if the food was ok or if we needed anything, literally felt like a cash grab.

They gave us tiny plates and food didn’t fit in it. The fried chicken appetizer was good, the LA Galbi was good , everything else… well just to simplify, I left on the table, didn’t even bother to cook it and left it behind.

Paid about $100 for 2 and totally a rip off.

Don’t bother asking for hot sauce, they will insult you and line the bottom of a larger bowl to make it seem like more.

Absolutely amazing and authentic in flavors down to experience. I thought I'd never have Korean BBQ like this ever again since Iobes to CR till I found Don Wu K-bbq! They have the exhaust vent that helps remove the BBQ smell from sticking to your clothes, hair etc. Which is a huge plus! THE QUALITY of the beef (I have yet to try the pork belly), are absolutely high quality and delicious. It may look not like much when they first bring everything, but believe me, you'll be full by the end of it. All the side dishes were authentic and delicious, and you can refill them as you go. Perfect combination for everything. The customer service was also amazing, the staff were very attentive to when our grill needed to be replaced, as well as when we needed more side dishes.

We also had the pleasure to try the fried chicken and yes it's delicious! If you're debating whether or not to order it - DO IT!!

I'm definitly coming back! I have yet to try their entradas, but the BBQ was so good I came here two...

We love Korean food, especially the small bowls of banchan that start the meal. We found this authentic restaurant in Escazu close to Walmart, 20 minutes from our home and it did not disappoint. They have the traditional grills at each table so you can choose an assortment of meats and grill it yourself. We didn't choose that option and instead ordered spicy stir fried chicken with vegetables and Don Wu's Bulgogi. The Don Wu style was more of a noodle bowl than the traditional grilled Bulgogi and rice. It was cooked on a portable stove tableside and consisted of marinated beef, a few vegetables and udon noodles in a broth of soy sauce, sugar, green onions, garlic, black pepper and sesame oil.
