Muna Tamarindo — Hotel in Tamarindo

I was supposed to stay in this airBNB with my three friends from May 31-June 8. On the first day we arrived with a broken A/C that was leaking and flooding the floor, we messaged the host to have this fixed and we were told that somebody would come the next day. The next day nobody came. We decided this was something that we could live with. On our third night staying at the airbnb, a man broke into our unit and stole my friend’s 2 phones, laptop and Apple Watch as well as a large sum of cash. Numerous other units were also robbed this same night. We are the guests who allegedly brought back “people from outside” who are our own personal friends from back home. Last night a worker from Muna was patrolling the property, and I asked him if us hanging out was alright. He did not respond to me. This perpetrator entered our bedrooms, and stole from under our pillow while we were sleeping. I am feeling very violated and unsafe after this situation as there was no communication received from the host, and it appears they are more interested in placing blame on their guests and responding to reviews as opposed to finding the true thief. We had the opportunity to review the security footage and it clearly demonstrates the perpetrator climbing the fence as opposed to “staying inside”. Very disappointed with this AirBNB.

We have not received any communication from the host after this terrifying incident despite asking the Muna employee have him reach out. Our friend who booked the airbnb unfortunately had her phone stolen, and is unable to log into the airbnb app on anybody...

Generally, it is one of the best places to stay in Tamarindo, The apartment itself is big, great for families or friends. Me and my friend are both in our 30s, we came to the island to surf and the nigh life. The apartment has 1 double and 2 singles both have their own bathrooms. It is clean when arriving and it is expected to be cleaned by yourself until you leave. If you need extra items Muna is on hand to assist. The apartment has a shared salt water swimming pool.

The night life and beach The apartment is out the way of the strip and beach which is good if you like your sleep, it is less than a 10 minute walk to both and half way is a small grocery shop, to get supplies. Absolutely Perfect. Clean, safe, beautiful and new. Air conditioning in every room kept us nice and cool in the heat. Large TV's kept us entertained in the late evenings. Two washrooms with large showers. Beds were so comfortable. Would highly recommend. Location is in walking distance of everything you need. I have mobility issues and found the short walk to beach, stores and restaurants were not an issue. The pool was clean and fellow travellers were friendly.
