The best bakery in town!! I’ve had Utopia’s croissants and pastries at the local night market many times but we finally stopped in for breakfast before leaving town.. What a treat!! The food was delicious and it was brought to the table just minutes after we ordered.. The waiter was super friendly and we had a lovely conversation with him before we left.. The vibe of the restaurant is very cool, covered from the rain but still open to the outdoors.. French Bakery Cafe and Restaurant with outtta-this-world quality pastries you’d expect from Megapolis grade established institution comparable to Maison Kaizer (Paris&MexicoCity). Yet priced reasonably well within a reach of a budget backpacker.

Foods that blew our mind: chocolate croissant (pan au chocolate $1 !!!), lemon meringue cakes, vegan quiche ($5), stuffed croissant with béchamel sauce ($5).

Visited the place now that they have a new concept for the evening. I have to admit, this concept with quality food in the evening and quality bakery throughout the day convinced me 100%.

The place was before already well known for its French style bakery and pastries, well prepared and tasty items that you will not get elsewhere in Tamarindo.
