I do not know where to start! Perhaps at the beginning of the holiday - my wife and I booked this to be with two of our daughters and families that were also holidaying in Croatia. It was last minute because we were hesitant about COVID, but decided to take the chance as it was our grandsons 18th birthday as well out there. We arrived late at night, and felt tired, hot and thirsty. The hotel was shut, but I tapped on the window and was greeted by a lovely, smiling face. This was Rose - someone who looked after us all our holiday! She was so kind - made us really welcome, brought us cold drinks, offered to carry up our suitcase. Then came Lotus - a lovely lady who chatted about our journey, again making us welcome. We went to bed exhausted, got up the next day, and yet again we were greeted with kindness, care , and warmth. We were introduced to Irish (Iris?), and Lovely. The hotel is a great place to stay, central in the old town, with restaurants, shops, and cafes nearby. Close to the esplanade, which is a hive of activity with lovely boats moored. The rooms are modern and well furnished, bed extremely comfortable, and it was quiet at night. The hotel is adults only, and whilst we have a family ( all grown up), its lovely to stay where it is, dare I say, civilised!! But what made it for my wife and I was the staff - they were excellent. Courteous, kind, attentive. They wanted us so much to enjoy our holiday that they did everything they could to ensure that it was good! I hope that the hotel maintain the calibre of staff that they have - they...
Read moreWe stayed for just one night on a recent road trip through Croatia. ||||This heritage hotel is located within the Old Town of Subenik and has been recently renovated. It has less than 10 rooms and they are all very well appointed with comfortable beds and excellent washrooms...my partner rated the washroom in our room as the best of our trip! There was a great view of the harbour from our room.||||We opted for the half board option and the a la carte dinner was excellent, the steaks were large and delicious! Breakfast the next morning was ok however there was only one waiter on duty that morning and he was run off his feet severing tables both inside the hotel and across the street at the affiliated restaurant; as a result, we didn't get offered a choice of eggs for breakfast until was had already eaten from the buffet. ||||About parking, guests should know that the public street parking is several blocks away on the harbour and so luggage has to be carried from there. While parking fees don't apply after 10 pm, they start again at 7 am which means that tourists have to get up early and walk back to restart the metre. I think the Sibinek tourist board should give tourists a break and change this restart timing...
Read moreThe King Kresimir is in an unbeatable location in the heart of this old town of Sibenik. There is no vehicular access but is very near within walking distance of parking and transportation. The hotel and rooms are very luxurious and comfortable including a wonderful bathroom (shower etc.) with bath robes and slippers, a coffee machine, a mini bar, safe, tv and tablet for ease of switching everything off. Petra, AnnaMaria and staff were wonderful, very helpful and knowledgeable . The breakfast was very plentiful from which to choose. There is also air conditioning throughout which was very welcome in the heat which we experienced. The hotel and rooms are exactly as they look in the photographs on the hotel website. All in all the hotel and Sibenik is wonderful and would recommend it wholeheartedly and we would love to...
