My daughter wanted to have a place to rest before taking the Flixbus that would take her for a long ride to Munich, Germany. So I looked for a safe place in Sibenik for her, and I found Medulic. I was only after of the price because I was looking for the cheapest and the nearest to the bus station I could find as she would only stay for half a day there anyway, So I booked one room for her in Medulic Palace Rooms, ||The following morning, my daughter checked in at around 11am. She was so amazed at the beauty of the place, so homey, "so pretty. so cute, like in a dream" were the words she used to describe the place. She told me, had she not a bus waiting for her at the bus station to bring her to Germany in about 3 hours, she would have stayed longer. Besides, the owner of the place is so kind and helpful, she even texted me the update of my daughter!s arrival and departure. And she also texted me the following day if my daughter had arrived safely in Munich. That was really a warm, kind gesture from her. ||And, my daughter was also kindly helped to open the door of the gate by a handsome young neighbor of Medulic, which she keeps on reminiscing, which amuses me. ||. And when she checked out a few hours later, she found out that the bus stop was just a few meters away. And the beach was also in the nearby, and although it was her first time there, she felt safe and at home. ||Her immensely excited impression of Medulic Palace Rooms made me and my husband decide to book a room there in the future, if our plan for a holiday in December will push through.||Very. very highly...
Read moreSibenik is a beautiful seaside town. We were there in May 2019 (sorry for the delay posting!) ||You cannot park in Sibenik without paying and the local lot by the harbor is expensive. You can park just outside town by the sports/pool facility for free. At least in May you can. We were told but we did not confirm, that this free parking turns into pay parking on the first of June. It is about a fifteen minute walk from the free parking to the Medulic Palace because the Medulic Palace is on the far side of Sibenik from the parking.||The young lady who met us in town to take us to our room was OK. Somewhat helpful but not overly friendly.||The room was nice. It was large and had a large bathroom with a large tub and shower. You cannot really use the tub for a bath because there is insufficient hot water to get more than a few inches into the tub. I conserved my hot water during my morning shower to ensure there would be enough hot water left for my wife.||Although we thought the room was good the entrance way and hallway bothered my wife a bit because she found it creepy. This was due to the poor lighting. I have to admit, the entrance an hallway were pretty dark but it did not bother me.||The Medulic Palace is in a great location. It is in the heart of old town and everything there is to see in town. We enjoyed our stay in Sibenik and and I hope my review does not come across as negative. We would consider staying here again but the Medulic Palace is what it...
Read moreI stayed at an apartment with a terrace overlooking one of the old-town squares for three days in late winter. The apartment was bright, walls freshly painted in white; the windows were well-insulated; heating was provided by an air pump. It had hot water in abundance to fill the splendid bathtub. The bed was a double, king-size, with a very comfortable mattress and pillows. Wifi was fast. Kettle and coffee machine were available, though not a microwave oven to heat beverages or food; I had to use the electric cooking stove instead, but this was not the first time a rental apartment was missing this appliance in my stay in Dalmatia. |The manager came to meet me on the street and carried my suitcase upstairs (two flights), since there is no elevator. She was a very agreeable person, offered information on the apartment, on the town in general and also on timetables for buses to Kraka (minimal in winter) and on places to eat (low season in Sibenik means a very limited choice). I would certainly come back again to...
