I came in on the 18:30 ferry from Split and the owner was waiting for me at the pier. The room is just a short walk from the pier and he lives in the same building. The room is very clean with a nice view of the water and has a small balcony. The room was perfect – it has a large, comfortable bed, a table and chair, small refrigerator, good WIFI and an electric kettle for making hot water. There is a large Konzum grocery store nearby, a bakery, ATMs and restaurants and the bus stop is also close to visit other parts of the island.||||I spent 3 days and departed on the 6am ferry back to Split – be alert – there are two ferry docks! One is on each side of the old town. They are not far apart but if you don’t check it out ahead of time you may be waiting on the wrong side and miss your ferry. When I was there the ferry spent the night at Korcula and you can confirm the dock the night before.||||I loved the island. It is easy to walk around and I found some nice secluded beaches to sun, swim and relax. It was interesting to take the bus to the other end of the island – Vela Kula. Make sure you know that your ferry is coming into Korcula Old Town or be prepared for the long bus ride (about 1 hour) back from Vela Kula. The buses run a few times a day but you will need to check the schedule. The fare was about 60 kuna for the bus.||||Enjoy your stay in Korcula. Guest House Leon is the perfect...
Read moreMy partner and I have just returned from a 3 night stay at Guest House Leon and we found it to be perfect for what we wanted. The owner met us and he was extremely accommodating, his English was great and he ran through some good restaurants, bars and things to do during our stay, he had even left us some traditional Croatian alcohol in the fridge for us to try. The room was great for what we needed and very clean. The air con unit worked great which was great as the weather was boiling and the WIFI was also very good. The location of the apartment couldn’t have been better, it is right in the centre of the old town so a 3 min walk to the ferry/catamaran port and bus station. Plenty of amazing bars and restaurants nearby as well as a small little beach. I believe this apartment to be extremely good value for money and I would definitely return and recommend – also Korcula as a place...
Read moreWe had just one night in this great little studio with balcony - could have spent 2 or 3, really. Extra-friendly owner Sergio guided us from the dock to his 3-room establishment and shared a glass of "grappa" with us while he told us about his town. Tiny room meant giving traffic signals if we were both on our feet - but everything else about the place was commendable. Wonderful sea view from balcony, just big enough for a tiny table and 2 tiny chairs. Comfy bed. Strong a/c. Clean, modern bath. Fridge and water kettle on hand (but no cooking facilities.) Our ferry left in the late pm the next day, but Sergio let us leave our bags with him after check out - yay! Excellent value.||||Nothing bad here to mention. Street noise below necessitated closed windows with a/c...
