We spent 10 nights in the bungalows(mobile homes) which were exactly how the photos were on the web site, we chose this site as it was located by the beach plus a swimming pool for the children everything is laid out well, whilst the children are enjoying themselves and making new friends from many nationalities the bar is next to the pool, so you can sit and enjoy a drink and a snack, the restaurant is only a few metres away, we didn't eat in the restaurant but it looked very nice, as Omis town is only a short stroll away we walked into town every night, you can either walk along the road or take a walk around the back by the sea, but be warned there is a fair which the children loved going to. A large supermarket is located just across the road from the camp. Prices in the camp for drinks/snacks are very reasonable. Sun loungers/umbrellas are available for hire on the beach. We had two bungalows one of which was located a couple of hundred metres from the beach and overlooked tent pitches, high was entertaining to watch the comings and goings, the second tent was situated by the main road through town which was very noisy first thing in the morning and woke the small child they asked to be moved and after 2 days another bungalow became available which was located by a smaller splash pool for small children, the camp were very accommodating with this issue. The bungalows are very well equiped, my only grumble is that the cleaners didn't come in to change the sheets or towels during our stay. Bus stop is also situated just outside the main entrance if you like using the local transport which is very reasonable.||Deposit is payable in cash euros of 100.00 per bungalow which is returned when staff have inspected the bungalow for any damages and if you have left it clean. Tourist tax and registration fee are also payable this can be paid by card.||Would we visit again yes we would if we had the...
Read moreWe are writing this review to express our deep dissatisfaction regarding Camping Site Galeb. We stayed at this campsite from 31/07 to 02/08 with our tent. We chose Camping Galeb because it looked very clean and nice online despite it was a bit more expensive than other campsites we visited in Croatia. However, this was not a problem for us as everything looked neat on the website. Unfortunately, after one day it became clear to us that this was not the case. The toilets and showers were anything but neat. There was mold on the walls, hair lying everywhere, toilet paper not replenished or lying around on the floor. To say the least, the sanitary facilities were disgusting. This does not meet the minimum hygiene requirements for a campsite. We paid €236 for 2 nights with a tent with some electricity. The only thingthat should be in order for campers is the sanitary facilities. Too bad that Camping Galeb falls short of this only requirement. We have already visited 4 other campsites in Croatia where someone is constantly cleaning the toilets and showers. In camping Galeb we just did not see anyone. Not forgetting to mention that we paid HALF OF THE PRICE of Camping Galeb in the other camping sites. We hope that urgent action will be taken on this. We understand that it is not always easy with so many people on a site, however, we felt this was going too far in terms of hygiene... The advanced state could therefore really affect the health of the guests. Also the swimming area and swimming pool hadn’t been cleaned for a while. When making our complain with the reception, the receptionist just took a note and advised us to send a mail to their general mail address to deal with the complain. When asking for a refund for our stay or a discount this was not given. I would not recommend staying at this camping. This also really affected our vacation. This was really ending our trip in...
Read moreWe stayed in mobile homes located in the first row by the sea. The location of the homes gets an 8/10. As for the equipment and amenities of the house itself, there’s not much to say – in the kitchen we didn’t even have the most basic things like salt, pepper, sugar, oil, paper towels… In the bathroom, there were 4 rolls of toilet paper for 6 people over 4 days. If you use them up, you have to buy more yourself. Trash won’t be taken out for you, and your room won’t be cleaned, because apparently that comes at an extra charge, even though 45 euros for cleaning was already included in the price of the accommodation. If you want to take out the trash so your apartment doesn’t smell, you’ll have to drag the garbage bags 300 meters to the dumpster and get new bags yourself… Terrible!!
Our apartment cost us 350 euros per night, plus a 45-euro cleaning fee, which we are somehow supposed to pay extra. The same goes for towels and bed linen – if you want fresh ones, you’ll have to pay for that too. If you go to the pool that’s part of the campsite and want to sit on a lounge chair – you’ll have to pay for that as well…
Considering the price you’re charging for these apartments – which, let’s be honest, is far from cheap – there should at least be basic necessities provided so guests can enjoy their vacation, instead of being charged for every single thing and treated like a service staff for the camp. Needless to say, we won’t be coming back, because at your camp guests don’t feel welcome, even though they’ve paid a high price for their stay. Your goal clearly isn’t for guests to enjoy their time, but to squeeze as much money out of them as possible.
Our overall rating for your camp is 2/10 (and that’s only because of the location of the homes). Otherwise, for the service – we...
