Lovely welcome to a very busy restaurant where they found us a table straight away even though the restaurant looked packed. Good advice from the waitress as to the specials and restaurant favourites so we ordered a calamari starter for three which was plenty large enough and very fresh and tasty. Followed by monk fish and grilled dorada as well as a spaghetti bolognaise for our daughter. Fresh warm Bread came shortly after which was delicious.staff were really attentive making sure everything was good and topping up our wine glasses. Monk fish came and we thought there may be a mistake as the serving was two monk fish instead of the one we were expecting but it was correct and gave every one the chance to try the dish. Very well cooked and very tasty.Grilled dorada came and was superb, I love fish and very rarely eat anything but when I'm in a restaurant and I have to say this was one of the best fish meals I have had anywhere in the world. Cooked so well and also tasted good with the homemade olive oil delivered to the table as the fish arrived. Spaghetti bolognaise was also very good I am told. During the meal about 9pm two fishermen arrived each carrying a 30 kilo amberjack which after being inspected by the owner were displayed in the ice cabinet at the front of the restaurant and advertised as tomorrow's special. Needless to say we have booked again for tomorrow night. Overall brilliant service, an owner who was attentive to every table and customer and chefs and kitchen staff who really knew how to cook and present quality food at a very reasonable price. About £70 for a large starter for three, three main courses, one desert, large bottle of water, one Sprite one beer and two bottles of house white wine. Well done Bastian. Our advice give it a try you won't be...

Four of us have visited it for lunch. We had two platters and lemonade. Let's start with the bread, which you get for free as a starter - it is absolutely delicious. Delicate, homemade and warm. However, you need to be careful not to eat entire basket before the main meal-it can easily happen, as the bread is really great. But beware, the main courses are even better. Every single fish and piece of seafood we had was fresh, and perfectly prepared. In Bastion less is more when it comes to preparation-everything is served very minimalistic, not too mucch spices and complexity not to overshadow the tastiness. I am a huge fan of octopus, which I eat wherever I can. The octopus pot served at Bastion was 10/10. Recipy is very simple-entire octopus is oven-bakend together with potatos and other veggies. The dish is absolutely delicious. Our friends had one of fish/seafood platters, which we shared with them-also great. The homemade lemonade was refreshing and not sweet. Beware of portion sizes-they are huge.
To sum up-the quality to price is superb. Eat your...
Read moreWe luckily got a table at once, but at around 20.00 there was a waiting line to the restaurant. Menu is available in many languages and there will likely be someone in the staff who speaks your language :) We ordered the Omis and Oneum plates. The former offers squid, octopus, shrimp and fishes, potatoes, grilled vegetables and spinach sauce. It was a very extraordinary and interesting plate with all the fresh ingredients. If you wanna try many things, these plates offer the best solution. The latter was a wonder. Lamb, goat and veal, all of them top notch quality. I was pleasantly surprised how well they prepared it, how butter-like was every piece of meat. I highly recommend this plate if you are into these type of meat.
The servings were well enough and the service was very kind too!
It was not a cheap eat, nor a very expensive one. I cannot rate this restaurant less than 5 stars! It was...
