A very dissappointing experience in a 4* hotel in the centre of a major tourist seaside city, which overall does not deserve those 4 stars as it lives on its' old glory. Right from the start, the staff at reception desk are unkind and unfriendly, we were rudely rejected when we asked for an early check-in possibility. Eventhough the site states that there is parking, there are only 4 available spaces of which all 4 were taken when we arrived (in a hotel of such capacity, this is abominable) so we had to pay for the parking a good amount if money. Our room was NOT what was advertised, what we expected and what was described. It was small, dark, old-fashioned looking (and not in a good way) and very out of date. We asked for a bigger room with a balcony (for which we would pay extra) but were told there were none, eventhough we found out that it was not true and an upgrade was more than possible. The fact that in this time of global pandemic such a hotel does not provide individually packaged bathroom amenities and products is beyond me, as well as the fact that there is no disinfectant in the hotel room. Our towels were not the best, they were quite dusty and it took ages for hot water to arrive. Hotel bar and cafe area is poorly run and could do with staff and friendliness improvement. The only plus side were breakfast and dinner, with the staff working both as extremely friendly and kind and food being fresh and tasty. The staff taking care of food also wore protective masks and gloves, which we highly appreciate. Overall, not worth the money spent, with no chance of coming back unless something...

Disgusting way to be treated |Air conditioning not working in the height of summer, therefore no sleep nor comfort |Then had to change rooms, more upheaval!|Then AC not working there either, plus plug stick in bathroom sink and cleaner didn't clean the room, so no bins emptied, fresh towels, toilet roll, refill of coffee etc or even bed made for the money being paid!!!didn't sleep properly the whole stay, absolutely money orientated. Breakfast was ok but rude breakfast room staff. No heads up that retro opatija was on and had to endure festival loudness music right outside the window with no warning from hotel? Tried to get the wine and cheese deal to be told they don't do that deal, whilst the board is being advertised???? Lovely lady at reception wanted to give discount however as I paid upfront , for some reason money couldn't be given back and I was to email reception. I have now emailed 10 times in the last month with absolutely no response to money back and they have now not responded to last 4 emails. This hotel will be reported...

We stayed here for 3 nights. Our room overlooked the side street so no views. Spacious room, but small single beds pushed together. The first two nights our sleep was disturbed by club music until 5am. The bathroom was spacious but the shower over the bath was poorly designed, and water splashed onto the floor and toilet. The hotel offers parking €17 per day on first come first serve basis. We had to park on the street the first night which cost €19. The breakfast buffet included was ok but less selection than other hotels we stayed at in Croatia. The food was tepid all three mornings and they were slow replenishing the dishes, so you missed out if late to breakfast. There was no option to order omelette or cooked eggs. The location was perfect for access to the town, restaurants, and beaches. The Lido pool is close by but we found better beaches along the walkway towards Volosko. This was an ok hotel for the price, however there are many lovely properties to choose from in the area. I would...

Some of the rooms (including the room I was in) had a spectacular scenic view and a balcony. The hotel has some great food for both dinner and breakfast at their restaurant, and also has a cafe. There seems to be a bar which opens at night and has selections like Bacardi and Hennessy. There are also 3 salons for conferences. Nearby, I also saw and operetta. Although it was winter, the room had blankets which really helped me keep warm. However, while the buffet breakfast at least had apple juice, for the buffet dinner, you had to order the drinks, which cost more money and would be troublesome. Overall, it was excellent.

This hotel is rated at three stars, but in my opinion it should be higher. It is very clean, modern, excellent wifi, excellent location. Excellent breakfast buffet. I had one dinner here, it was also good. The Opera House is on the right, Casino left and entrance to Angelino Park directly across the street and leads to lungomare. You can see many attractions. There is an 8 mile walking trail along the Adriatic Sea.

Spent a nice summer evening at the Hotel Bristol's Café Palme. Very comfortable chairs, ideal for relaxing. Fast and attentative staff. Very good selection of drinks - our choice was famous Istrian liqueur Teranino (they serve one produced by Aura company, which is the best), then Tom Collins, which was really excellent and on the other side, Paulaner & Budweiser. Rock/blues live music rounded up our evening.
