For the love of god find another hotel to stay at. I've made a grave mistake by choosing this hotel thinking i am staying just 2 night how, bad can it be ? Right ? yea, worse then i thought. Well first of all i paid 125€/night witch is absurd for what i got, this is more of a motel then a hotel, the lowest service, the dirty rooms, the staff and overall the fact that this is a "hotel" that is stuck in 1970 should point more to 50€/night. The first thing that i noticed when i entered the reception was the smell of old comunist furniture that has been somewhat cleaned up, i got my key and went up to my room where mold is the first thing that hits your nose, not very pleasant, the windows frames and the door frame to the balcony its made from wood, and it looks like it was painted by a 12 years old kid, you have paint on the single layer glass that shakes when someone else closes their door a bit too hard. Next is the toilet, the bathroom is fine i guess, a 6/10, but the toilet.. its a comunits toilet from the 80s and it doesn't flush nr2... and thats not a figure of speech, it wont flush.. IT... at all, i had to flush it 3 times or.. let it soak :). On to the staff and the food, i guess u can give the food a 5 you can make a sandwich or eat a sausage, the sodas from the machine are disgusting, go with water, (witch tastes like rust), and for coffee, i cant even describe the taste, the smell is familiar to diesel and the taste to battery acid, but with 2 packs of sugar its.. drinkable. The staff, they have an espresso machine at the exit to the terrace, and its 4€, u cant drink the free coffee there, only the one you buy, i found that pretty funny, oh and no eating there as well, not even the sponge cake, and no bringing anything to the room. I forgot to mention, you don't have a safe or a refrigerator in the room. And the last and worst part and the actual reason im writing this review.. bed bugs, yea, the day i woke up to leave i had a few bites, i thought they were something else (thats my fault), today i woke up in a clean airbnb in split with a bed bug next to my pillow, 2 in my luggage and some fresh bites. Do not go here, spend your money more wisely then i did. And read the other review someone left a month before mine, its spot on.(i've had to censor myself a lot...
Read moreWe were coming to this hotel and they gave us a room that was so small and with a view to the parking area. We asked for another and the guy at the reception actually was really nice and got us another room. He was very helpful and also really friendly and not in any way rude. Then we got our room but it was again a really small one but the cleanliness was miserable. These floor carpets have been here since the construction of the building and the bathrooms are just also as old as the carpets. Things are broken all around the room that you see, marks on the walls and on the carpet. Windows that you can not open and a really bad smell every time you come to the room. All the paint of the window and also the balkony door is just fading away. The pictures in the Internet are not telling the truth about any of it. There is no real comfort here, especially when you notice the little guests you have in your room. Every day you see some silverfish coming through your room, crawling on your stuff and making you think twice about sleeping at night. We also found some trash left behind from the guests before us and of course also found some silverfish with it. We also booked the breakfast, but it just feels like you're coming to the barbecue and not to a breakfast, the only bread you're given is some already cut white bread that dissappears into air when you bite it and some small undercooked somethings that taste bad. The orange juice is really just a fanta at this point.
I would not recommend it to anyone, I would tell them to stay away from this hotel until it's renovation or deconstruction, because this is not worth any money that i spent. I'm paying 145€ for a night for two people. It's asking way too much for almost nothing in...
Read moreThe moment of reckoning has arrived, and this hotel deserves a carefull review.
Let's start from the beginning. Searching for a hotel in Pula, I meticulously sifted through numerous reviews. They weren't the best, but I decided to save some money (not much though) and brave a lesser level of comfort. The deal even included breakfast and dinner. Upon our arrival, the room was just as described in every review I'd read, even those from many years past. No surprises there. The initial reaction was, "There's no way we can stay here, let's find another hotel." But after a few minutes, we decided to take on the challenge. Now, let's move onto the highlights of our stay. Bathroom doors don't have locks. You can enjoy a peaceful bowel movement whilst your kid bursts in multiple times to disturb your tranquility. Parking is free and nearby, but you'll need to battle for spaces, even inventing spots where you never thought a car could park. The air conditioner provides a nice ambient sound to sleep by, but alas, it doesn't cool - it probably hasn't for about three decades. There are handy nails and screws which you can use to hang your wet clothes. Very resourceful! Dinner is a unique experience. People start queuing up 20 minutes before the restaurant doors open. As soon as they do, it's like a battle royal for the food. There's even a sign stating "no bags allowed," presumably because someone once tried to abscond with a purse full of sausages and fries. After all, who hasn't been tempted? The pool is decent, but there aren't enough chairs for everyone. So, either arrive early or better yet, enjoy the city's stunning beaches. This hotel became a significant part of our trip. I now have some stories about it, which make my...
