My husband and I are from Miami, FL (USA). We are here in Croatia for our honeymoon and have done a lot of research on the restaurants we wanted to eat at. For Pula, we had originally selected Farabuto as the restaurant to eat, however they would not seat us because we didn’t have a reservation (nowhere online does it specify that we needed one, by the way). No big deal, because it was the best thing that could have happened to us. We stumbled upon this gem in Pula, and this meal was easily one of the best meals I’ve ever had in my life.
We started with a white dry Istrian wine, which was to die for. It was the smoothest wine to drink. For appetizers we had some bread with anchovies on top, and some shrimp ravioli with black truffle that they make in house. AMAZING. Then for the main course, we shared a seafood platter that had fish, shrimp, prawns, swordfish, mussels, sardines, and a potato and spinach side dish. It was perfect. For dinner, we had a peach cake and their signature baklava. It was the best baklava I’ve ever had. And to top it off, they served us some olive and red wine brandy on the house to aid with digestion. I’m not sure if it works or not but it was so tasty!

I gave this place 5 stars for service. Last time we were there, oh boy were we surprised. Swiss chard was just boiled, no salt, no taste.
