A wonderful hotel with amazing staff. It's location next to the coast is lovely and for us the short and cheap bus into Pula was close enough to enjoy yet the hotel and grounds were calm and relaxing. Rooms were very clean and cleaned every day. The bed was super comfy and massive. The small balcony with its view over the woods, lovely to sit in the evening. Aircon worked well and was only slightly noisy on low. The only small issue was the glass sliding door to the bathroom which was very noisy in use and kept knocking a small piece of skirting board off if opened too far. We were B&B and the breakfast buffet had a good selection. The food seemed targeted for the German taste but the selection of meat ,cheese pastries and hot food was good enough we always found something to eat. I would say the scrambled eggs were more like bits of omelette rather than the fluffy soft ones we are used too. Omelettes are made to order as well. The coffee was OK from both bean to cup machine and filter machine but I'm afraid the milk had that tangy sterilised taste that we just didn't like. It's common in many countries but we prefer the fresh milk as sold in the UK. So black coffee for us! We did try the buffet dinner one night but it was vastly over priced at 32 Euro each. If you upgrade to half board it's much cheaper but we didn't think the choice warrantied the price. There were many place to eat nearby so no worries there. Hotel cocktails were well made by friendly bar staff and delicious. And 9-12 euros each. The pool was immaculately kept and towels provided that people used by the pool and took with them to the beach so don't pack any! Plenty of sunbeds available with the usual suspects bagging them before breakfast and not turning up to use them till the afternoon! . The use of other sun beds around the complex was also allowed so you could just move from location to location. The small beach was picturesque and a walk around the coast provided fantastic views. The hotel seemed very adult couples orientated and had a great grown up atmosphere. Overall a great hotel that's highly recommended.

We stayed at Park Plaza Arena Pula and honestly, the experience exceeded our expectations. From the first moment, the receptionist was incredibly welcoming, friendly, and explained everything clearly. The room was great with a fascinating view, but what truly made the difference was the service. Everyone we met was smiling, positive, and genuinely helpful. Special mention goes to Kusuma and Sukrawan – always polite, professional, and a pleasure to interact with. The food selection was also impressive, with a nice mix of cuisines, but again the service made it outstanding. Activities were another highlight. We tried both kayaking and a city tour, and both were fantastic. The city tour was very informative – the guide shared Pula’s history in a way that was engaging and interesting without overwhelming us with numbers. Kayaking was perfectly organized, safe, and fun, with a guide who not only knew the area well but also shared great stories. A special shout-out to Eric – he was the one who explained all the activity options, helped us pick what suited us best, and kept everything running smoothly. But what really stood out was his aqua aerobics session at 11 every morning – the music, energy, and exercises were amazing. He’s a true aerobics guru! Overall, this hotel is a gem. Thank you to the whole team, we’ll definitely be back and highly recommend it to anyone considering where to spend their summer vacation. It’s absolutely worth it!

The hotel is nice in many ways but imo has serious flaws too. It is a higher quality than a typical 3-star hotel but they do charge higher as well, so a certain level of services is expected.

Good points: Clean rooms, very friendly staff, somewhat small but nice pool. The food is simple but rather good and there’s plenty of choice for breakfast and for dinner. We had dinners included and were happy with that choice.

Odd things: A mat glass bathroom door that provides very limited privacy and virtually no sound isolation is a very... interesting choice. So be sure you’re very close with whomever you’re staying there :)

Flaws: Worst sunbed wars I’ve ever witnessed. Last of the loungers on the lawn with pine trees get reserved as early as 7:30 a.m. For sunbeds around the pool there’s a bit more time as there are more of those. There are signs saying that reserving is not allowed but the staff doesn’t bother to do anything in this regard, so the signs are pretty worthless.

The hotel is located in a very crowded area with an almost constant flow of people from the parking lot, through the hotel area, to the beach. The beach is rather small, so part of the crowd stays on the hotel’s lawn despite the signs that it’s guests only. Again, the staff is supposed to be watching for that but in reality none of them cares (I did complain twice - it didn’t change anything), so the lawn becomes full pretty fast. This is really a shame. I understand that the beach is public but private areas should remain private and it’s the hotel’s job to ensure that.

Overall could be a nice place but there is just not enough comfort...

I had the pleasure of staying at Park Plaza Arena Pula hotel in July, and it was an absolute delight. This beautiful small hotel is perfectly situated just south of the town of Pula, nestled among the serene pine trees and overlooking a stunning beach with turquoise waters.

Though the hotel holds only a 3-star rating, it truly feels like a 4-star establishment, and the recent renovations have definitely added to its charm. The rooms are pristine and modern, providing a comfortable and inviting space to unwind after a day of exploration.

One of the highlights of my stay was the breakfast served at the hotel. In fact, it surpassed any breakfast I've ever had in hotels across the United States, even those with 4 or 5 stars. The variety and quality of the food were exceptional, offering a delightful start to each day.

Additionally, Park Plaza Arena Pula boasts a beautiful swimming pool, perfect for relaxing and enjoying the sunshine without having to leave the hotel premises.

The proximity to the beach is a major plus, and the hotel's ambiance, surrounded by lush pine trees, creates a tranquil and relaxing atmosphere. It's an ideal spot to recharge and soak in the natural beauty of the surroundings.

In conclusion, I highly recommend Park Plaza Arena Pula to anyone looking for a peaceful and luxurious experience. With its picturesque location, recent renovations, pristine rooms, outstanding breakfast, and a beautiful swimming pool, it offers a fantastic value that rivals many higher-rated hotels. Whether you're a beach lover or seeking a serene escape, this hotel...
