Bowling Hostel — Hotel in Grad Split

This hostel was a nightmare. ||||The owner doesn't change sheets in between guests and only uses a clothing roller to make them look clean again. ||||The water in the shower was getting cold after 5 minutes of being in the shower so if someone goes before you then expect a cold shower. ||||The beds are not placed strategically because you can literally hear everything that people say and do, meaning that people come in at all hours during the night and talk as if people are not trying to sleep. People also started having sex in the dorm and you can literally feel the walls shaking and turning on lights. ||||SO, then on top of all of that the ventilation is horrible there too, can smell old alcohol and sweat from people who haven't showered or have been partying. ||||This is not the place to stay if you are a light sleeper, day explorer or need to get up early for travelling. ||||We also saw pictures of only the room with the double bed so we were under the impression it was 3 bedroom room and we're shocked when we saw the dorm instead.||||Highly...

I stayed here for one night only. Very clean sheets and bed. Unlike some comments, I felt very safe and sound in the hostel. The bowling center, restaurant and hostel is owned and managed by a family, mother daughter father trio, who are adorable and super friendly. They are very accommodating and forthcoming. The hostel has all you need, you can lock the doors to the individual bathrooms as well! The lockers are excellent and provide great and especially safe storage. The hostel is located around 30 minutes by foot to the old town and around 10 min by bus, very convenient. Around 10 minutes down the street are some pretty beaches, supermarkets etc. compared to other hostels in Split this feels a lot more personal and safe, rather than being in a huge place with hundreds of people. Lovely place. We went with friends that haven't been bowling before and they explained all nicely for them. The staff was very friendly and attentive. We loved that it was a non-smoking place! Just the music was sometimes a bit too loud so I had a soar throat in the end from yelling to the friends while talking. But I'm sure that was not on purpose. Also, but that's a general bowling problem, could you please provide shoe disinfection for self-disinfection, as the shoes are always a bit of an issue.
