Beware!!! I booked this hotel 4 Months in advance I asked to cancel it 2 months in advance and was told that I have missed the cancellation date by 3 days and would be charged the full fee. Clearly my fault, however most respectable establishments tend to wave the fee when canceling so far in advance and when missing the window by a few days Given this approach - I can only conclude that the level of service at this hotel is low

To clarify - I have booked via American Express Travel. Not via Expedia American Express have reached out to the hotel and asked whether they would wave the charge given that the last day to cancel was only a few days before and that the booking was for TWO MONTHs in the future. I was expecting more having looked at the web site. The room was large, clean and in good condition. The room had not been checked as safe was locked and no instructions on how to operate it. An information pack in the room would have been nice considering the location as very few places to eat. Rooms are not made up daily. Breakfast was basic and if all the guests came down together, long wait for food to be replenished. The staff were helpful and friendly. Please note the sauna and hot tub are extra cost and need to be booked a day in advance. Good location for access to entrance 3 of Plitvice park, about 10 minute walk. We just recently stayed at the Pearl of Plitvice. Amazing location with lovely staff. We were there for 2 nights while visiting the Plitvice NP. It’s located within walking distance to Entrance 3 of the park, which is so much more convenient than main gate; however, you must have your hard tickets or on your phone. They don’t take vouchers. This location is about 25 minutes from the main gate, but it is in such a nice area for bike riding, hiking or just enjoying the peace and quiet. The room was modern and really nice.
