Ethno Houses — Hotel in Općina Plitvička Jezera

Me and my family, with 2 little children, we rented apartment on the cover, two weeks ago. We paid 380 eur/night. 2 Nights 760 eur. No breakfast included. Postseason time. 5 stars apartment. There is a kitchen in this apartment if you are looking on the web. In the morning I started to prepare a breakfast for us, to cook eggs, bacon, coffee, cocoa and milk as I'm doing at home, every morning, for my family, but there was nothing in the kitchen. Even a spoon. Nothing. I called the reception to see what it is, why there is no dishes and plates? Why kitchen drawers and cabinets are empty? Why the stove doesn't work ? And the answer was : "The kitchen is fake. It is there just for decoration" !?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?

I said : What?? I rent an exhibition salon ???? 360 eur/night ???

Yes, sorry, this is 5 stars apartment!

I can not tell you how disappointed we were. That was a big FRAUD, big big big PRANK !!!!

Went to restaurant and paid 15 eur / person for the breakfast I wouldn't like to describe. Cold and distasteful.

First day wi-fi in the apartment didn't work. The answer was: Weather condition, sorry

We paid after all 760 eur and went home deceived and disappointed.

I tried to refund by mail at least 50% of the payment but the owner was hard shell. He answer me on the mail (in photo attachment there is a bill and part of emailing) : C'mon, you didn't rent apartment, you rented 5 stars room. Of course the kitchen is fake. ????????????

Nice hotel village close to the tallest waterfall in the park. It’s about a 20 min drive to the parking lot of Plitvice Lakes Park. The staff were friendly but something little things could be improved. The electric privacy shades didn’t work for our room and some of the lights were burned out. The archery set provided only had two arrows (both broken). We were told breakfast ended at 10:30 at check in and when we showed up at 0950 the staff yelled at us that breakfast was over and we shouldn’t eat??? We ate anyways since why waste food that’s already out? We had to grab coffee cups, salt and pepper and silver wear from other tables for both meals we had there. The dinner was okay. My soup wasn’t hot when it came out. You can tell the restaurant staff is stressed, we wanted some drinks from the bar and were told forcefully we needed a reservation, once we explained we just wanted drinks it was fine. The empty drink glasses pilled up outside so we ended up moving them all to another table. The petting zoo was cute but I hope they let the animals roam around in larger enclosures that all year round. Outdoor jacuzzis take forever to fill up and our neighbors jets didn’t work in the tub. Never had a worse experience! Staying at Etno Houses Plitvice Selo was a total mistake. The main reason we chose this place was the jacuzzi, which was clearly promised to us. Upon arrival, they immediately told us the jacuzzi wasn’t filled because “it fills when guests arrive” – which is pure nonsense and an outright lie. This excuse wasn’t just unbelievable, it was insulting to anyone with even a little common sense.||When we finally managed to get them to fill the jacuzzi, the result was even worse – not only did the jacuzzi not work, but the water drained out by morning! And of course, in the end, we stayed in a room without the jacuzzi, which was the main reason for our booking.||We also tried to request a refund for the price difference since we paid for something we didn’t get, but of course – NO ONE bothered to respond to our complaints! We sent an email, and since then – complete silence. So not only were we disrespected, but we were completely ignored as well.||This accommodation is a total scam! Not only did we pay for something we didn’t get, but they lied to us and ignored our complaints. I would NEVER recommend this place to anyone.
