House Samardzic — Hotel in Općina Plitvička Jezera

This is a very nice place from every point of view. Location convenient just 100m from the "Mukinje" bus stop along the road that skirts the two Plitvice park entrances, 2 km south of Entrance 2 (the southern entrance). The facility is a lovely country-style house with a few rooms for rent scattered here and there. Nothing bad with the room, simple but functional and comfortable. There is a pleasant lawn with outdoor tables where to relax, lounge, or chat. The family running the place was very kind, welcoming and welcoming. The husband drove us up to the park Entrance 2 on the first day. The son came pick us up at the end of the day at the same Entrance and drove us back to the park Entrance 1 on the second day, sparing us 8 km on foot or the need to pay taxis. The wife cooked one of the most delicious dinners I've ever had, which was served in a warm family environment in a family room where a few more guests as well as the owners were having dinner; their service was prompt, efficient but never intrusive; they were flexible as well: we had a choice between meat and fish (mind this was not a restaurant, just a family kitchen open to -few- guests), and we were free to choose the dinner starting time. I regret we could not stay longer, as we had the rest of the trip already arranged. ||The only negative comment I can make is that, in my opinion, the room rate was about 15% overpriced compared to standards I've seen...

A family-run business that offers perfect location, comfortable rooms and local cuisine at a very competitive price. ||Very close (2 mins by car/motorbike) to one of Plitvice National Park's main entrances, the House has parking for cars and motorbikes. We arrived just in time for dinner, after the whole day riding motorbikes; we were lucky and had the chance to taste delicious grilled lake trouts, served with cold local beers; abundant portions from appetizers (cold ham and pickles) to fruit, it's still the signature fish that made the difference.||Rooms are big and very clean, bathroom included - a plus for travellers like us: rooms have a lot of space for motorbike stuff, from suits to helmets. No noise, fresh breeze from nearby woods, a starry night: it was a great sleep indeed.||Service is very good, we were recommended to wake up early in order to enjoy the hike in Plitvice before the crowd - this advice saved us a lot of time. ||Besides English, the whole family speaks fluent German...

The owners live in the front of the cottage and the rear ones are rented out. The cottage is nice with nice carpeting, linen and bed-spreads. The bathroom has a shower area, a bidet and i think also hair dryers, soap, etc. Newly done up bathroom i thought. Full marks for cleanliness. The breakfast spread is more than more than enough with bread, butter, jam/nutella, honey, eggs, ham, milk, cornflakes and juice and a fruit. There's ample parking space behind the cottages. Also, its a short drive from the National Park and theres a nice restaurant within walking distance which the owner would be happy to point out.||||The WiFi wasnt working very well in the room. We asked the owners to fix it. They restarted it but the signal inside the room is very weak. Also, there is a lot of shrubbery and trees etc. around. So a cricket found its way inside the room along with a moth. Not much of a bother for us but could be...
