Writing the review in English, even though I am Czech, to save as many people as I can. If I had to choose between stay in this "hostel" again or sleeping on the bench outside, the bench would be a lot better choice and maybe even less nasty. ||I stayed in a few hostels, not all were good, not all were 100% clean or comfy, but at least something worked there. But this was a nightmare all along.||Not commenting on the prison-like bulding, greasy stair railing or the absolutely horrible, unexplainable smell that was so strong it hit you in the face. ||There was no towel in the room, the toilet seat looked nasty, the mirrors on the shelf were probably last cleaned ten years ago with a smudged tablecloth. The floor was not clean, nor were the sheets. No lockers, no closed wardrobes. The best thing awaited us after we got back from the city. We couldn't reach our room and the indifferent receptionist told us that they changed the locks. During our stay, with our possessions inside, they just changed the locks and we had to wait (it was almost until 1am) for the handyman to sort it out, if he did not, they didn't even care we can't get inside. Luckily it was somehow figured out and we could go to sleep and leave the next day without any desire to visit the place ever again. ||It was the low price and absolutely no other place to stay that made us choose this hostel and I am absolutely certain that I never visit this place again. Rather spend more money on a good hostel, even further away, but on some level. The only good thing about this place is its location (within 2 tram stops from O2 Arena), that is unfortunately...
Read moreWe stayed as a couple in a two bed room that's equipped with two tables, one closet and two night lamps. Towels and toilet paper are included. The fridge as well as the toilet and the shower are shared only with one other room next to ours so it's practically private unlike some hostels where you have to go across the hall to reach these facilities. Everything in the room was new, very nice, clean and highly functional with extraordinary comfortable beds and large windows so there’s a lot of light in the room. Also the rooms get cleaned every day unless you don’t want it. There was a shared kitchen with an electric cattle and a microwave on our floor but without any dishes and cutlery. The hostel is right next to the tram stop and you literally can't miss it and with the tram no 8 you can get to the town centre in about 20 minutes. We’ve been to Prague many times and if you’re a couple on a budget this hostel is way better than equally or less equipped hostels in the city centre but unlike them it won’t cost you a small fortune! The other guests are mainly workers who live there and the ones we interacted with were very nice. Don’t trust the comments of the guest that can’t read the hostel description and expect something different than described, on the contrary, this hostel was even better than advertised and if you want something in the strict centre do all of us travelers a favor and don’t choose this one and then complain later that it’s too far away. Also our receptionist spoke English very well. All in all, we had a great stay and we will definitely choose this...
Read moreDisclaimer: The accommodation is in a hotel/dormitory style, and it is important to note that it may not be an extremely comfortable stay.
During my stay, I had a room that housed four beds and shared a common bathroom with another set of four beds. The room was spacious and cleaned daily, while the basic bathroom facilities served their purpose.
If you are on a budget and looking for a place to store your belongings and move around, this accommodation is ideal. One of its main advantages is the easy tram connectivity, despite being far from the city center. The tram is only a two-minute walk away, making it convenient to get around.
However, there are some cons that should be mentioned. While these can be overlooked, it is essential to consider them when making a decision:
Communication with the staff may be challenging as they do not speak English fluently, but they are helpful and get the job done.
Unfortunately, there are no lockers to keep your valuables, and you will need to leave them with the staff at the office when heading out.
There are no door mats, which may be inconvenient for some.
The sheets are changed once every 4-5 days, and it is unclear if they change them when the person leaves, as advertised.
There are no charging points available in the room.
In conclusion, this hotel/dormitory-style accommodation offers a budget-friendly stay with the convenience of tram connectivity. However, it is important to note the limitations, such as the lack of lockers and door mats, infrequent sheet changes, and the absence of...
