Pension Dobroucky — Hotel in Prague

I have not been able to stay in the hotel because I booked a double room, but accidentaly forgot to add an extra guest. I was confused about that I was not able to add the extra guest in the system so I wrote to the hotel. Turns out the price difference is quite big if I add one more person to stay in the same room. The hotel is clearly snapping at customers immediately, not even taking into account the fact that I am a foreigner and they are, too, so there might be language missunderstandings. Also my reservation clearly said I have a double room with one guest.

So here you can read the convo:

Me: Hi! How much will I be charged for the room if I arrive with one extra guest? Hotel: For a double room and two nights, total: 129.60 €

Me: That is nearly twice as much as for one person for the same room

Hotel: that is the price for two people, you have booked a single room. what's so weird about it?

Me: excuse me? I have not said the word "weird". What's weird is that you are not even saying hello and now you are saying that I have described something as "weird". The reservation clearly says that this IS a double room, unfortunately I forgot to add both guests but I have still booked a double, not a single room.

Hotel: If you do not understand, cancel your reservation and stay somewhere else. You will not be accommodated with us in any case

Me: excuse me? what exactly I have done wrong? I am asking whether the room I have booked is a double or a single room because it says that it is a double room.

Hotel: Cancel the reservation, we will not accommodate you. Last word, this ends the...

Very nice place not far away from metro station and supermarkets. It's a good place as a starting point for visiting olt town and other parts of city Prague. Rooms are with their prizes and in every room is a bathroom. Rooms are clean and cosy. Pension offer breakfast itch are very cheap and delicious. Owners are very friendly and helpful. Trochu zklamání. Vzhledem ke kategorii penzionu jsem počítal s ústupky. Člověk na jednu noc přimhouří oči nad ledasčím - zatuchlý zápach na chodbě (v pokoji OK), zvláštní tvar pokoje, kde okno pouští málo světla, výhled na jakési okno a výklenek s mříží, hluk z frekventované silnice, záchod (člověk se zasune a z obou stran se dotýká stěny z kachliček) starý nábytek (prosezené křeslo, nic moc postel). Co jsem ale nedal byly smradlavé lůžkoviny! Polštář, deka i povlečení silně smrdělo jak kdyby potem, fakt hodně hnus! Dělalo se mi z toho špatně! Polštář jsem si vzal z pohovky (ta je fajn) a snažil se nečichat k peřině a ryhle usnout. Většinu mého pobytu vlastně zabral spánek a to mě fakt hodně zhatilo celý dojem. čistý pokoj, lednice na chodbě 10 min pěšky metro, Billa, McDonalds atd., 25 min k O2 aréně - paráda! fajn snídaně mini teráska na cigárko s výhledem na Prahu wifi check-in až od 16 hod. smradlavé lůžkoviny! zatuchlý zápach na chodbách jako ve starém "důchodcovském" domě dispozice s málem denního...
