Pension Kern, I stayed here on 2019 September 25th.
The most awful experience I have every had in this hotel. 👎👎👎👎👎
I lived here for four days. In the room there is NO tea kettle , microwave nor plates or forks.
On the second day, I realised that someone has been in my room when I wasn’t in the room, I am a tourist, I don’t know how it functions here in the Czech Republic, but I really don’t need cleaning after just one day after checking-in. I had all my properties in the room then (left on the table), I was very offended, because nobody asked me if I need cleaning, and they just came straight into the room without noticing me beforehand.
On the third day, I just meant to borrow some plates for my lunch. There was no one in the reception desk, so I just walk straight to the dining room (or kitchen if you want to say) and the old woman inside scold me for ’’not informing her and go directly’’ Come on, there was NO ONE in the reception desk so I was just checking if the receptionist is in the dining room. Moreover, the old woman inside even said to the receptionist as if I am a thief or I behaved like an uneducated. I didn’t want to talk back become the woman speaks only Czech, so, useless.
Checking out day for breakfast- I paid 200 kc for breakfast and it was so poor. Other people had commented that on this. The breakfast doesn’t deserve this price at all. Strongly advised you not to eat here.
Overall rating-
👎Weak sound-proof, so if you sleep early and the others are showering, you could easily be annoyed by the water sound. They should deal with this immediately.
👎Weak bus intervals. If you like moving around, it might not be your first choice. Because the bus runs only 2 times in a hour. (in average) It’s even not close to the old town.
👎Very weak Wifi. Certain time and certain rooms have serious internet problems, so if you want to enjoy a quick internet, you shouldn’t consider this pension.
I give this pension zero respect to customers and zero ratings. The cleaning lady thinks she is the boss and yells at customers. Shame. Never would I come back and I will tell the story to every traveller to Prague to avoid...
Read moreWe were two families of 7 persons, who stayed here for three nights. First about the positives. The facility is nice and clean. They also have free secure parking. We had booked three double rooms. Two of the rooms were quite spacious, while the third was a little tight (right next to the receptionist's office), but it didn't bother us much. The two ladies at the reception were very polite, friendly and helpful. They gave us several tips and wonderful advice on the city and important sights. The wi-fi was fast and reliable. The bathrooms were reasonably spacious. It is an easy walk to the tram station, from where within 10 mins one can get to the center. Now about some of the issues. The second day, after we returned from our sightseeing adventure, we saw that the rooms were still dirty and not made. There was a young guy at the reception who seemed lost and preoccupied. We informed him that we would be checking out early the next day, since we were driving to Bratislava. However the next morning at around 830 when we went down (breakfast starts at 0800 hours), there was nobody in the breakfast area and nothing was laid out. We kept ringing the bell over and over again, but there was no response. Finally after around half hour, this young fellow comes sprinting up (from the basement) and you could tell that he had overslept. He apologized and set up the breakfast, but all this felt a little strange. On the whole, the place offers good...
Read moreThe room was very nice clean , very warm (with minus temperatures outside) and there were free toiletries available to use.The wifi signal is very good. The breakfast was ok not a big variety but it was included in the price and it was decent.||The area is very sparsely populated many abandoned houses and many villas. If someone doesn't have a car they must take the bus from the bus stop which is right outside the hotel but in the weekend the intervals of the bus are every 30 min as we saw. We had a car and we parked outside at the street because the parking was always full (just space for 4 cars and very near to each other). Actually outside on the street there were always many parking places. To get to center we parked near Radlicka metro station and from there we took the metro.||One minor disturbance (that's why I put 4 points and not 5): We arrived on Friday evening at around 21:00 and no one was at the reception. They had sent me an sms how to get the key and I found the key with no difficulty. Saturday afternoon at 17:00 again no one at reception. I wanted to get a toilet paper on Saturday evening and couldn't ask anybody. To their credit when I sent an sms they answered immediately but I believe Saturday afternoon at 17:00 is not so late so as to find nobody there. Anyway.||To sum up we had a nice stay for a very good price and I recommend this hotel...
