Lovely vacation spot. Right on the beach. Walking distance to many cafes, restaurants and grocery store plus street vendors for fresh fruit. Use of pools (on both sides of street). Quieter on non beach side. Beach side plays music during the day so options for quiet or not. Great food choices at very reasonable rates. Excellent room service. Cleaners did an amazing job. We had 4 people and got a 3 bedroom and 3 bathrooms with ample room for all of us. Kitchen had small sink, 4 gas burner cook top, microwave and full fridge/freezer (no oven in our unit). While there were plates, bowls, glasses, mugs and cutlery available, it did lack other essentials for example, dish rack, dish clothes, can opener, scissors, pots (they had several pans but no pots), larger mixing bowls for salads, toaster, to name a few. They provide dish soap, bar soap, shampoo and conditioner, towels (both shower and beach), toilet paper, paper towels. Beach side is noisy with street noise. Lots of cars and trucks. Bring ear plugs if light sleeper....

RENTER BEWARE!!!Terrible experience with staff and my room was switched from beach side to pool side last minute due to air conditioning issues supposedly. However we spoke to another platinum guest who said that was a lie the whole beach side was booked. So idk if they double booked me. However the staff were very hard to deal with for two days we had no toilet paper. You have to buy new towels if you want them which ok. However when you check in they tell you if any towels are missing you will be charged. So when we got our new towels they shorted us 4 towels and would not give them to us because they said we had the do not disturb sign up. Yet we received all the other towels outside our door. They do not get trash regularly it sits outside your door and last but not least massive ants and ROACHES. I know this is a beach resort but I feel the trash issue is the bug issue. Hope this helps. Friendly staff was readily available and helpful in all manner of questions or issues. Grounds well kept, modern amenities, and wi-fi. Lots of security personnel, not that it’s in a rough area anyway, but certainly nice to have. The local people are very friendly and helpful. Some are looking for work which I can respect. So if they want to carry my groceries several blocks then they indeed deserve a tip. The restaurants within the resort are good and cater to staying guests. If you want to try some of the local restaurants nearby, they are also good. Get recommendations from staff or locals for the best places. You get more bang for your buck here than you would at resorts on other islands. I would definitely be happy to return. Also generally speaking, knowing Spanish on the island helps but by no means...
