As a long term resident in Cabarete and can say with confidence that PhoKing is one of the best quality kitchens we have seen in this town. I have heard only good things about PhoKing from trusted friends with good taste and finally had a variety of really delicious and authentic meals there myself. I will be back as often as I can to enjoy more of their consistently great meals. Listen, I’m Vietnamese that cooks all southeast Asian food. It was very good considering how hard it is to find the native ingredients in DR. Literally the best Asian food I had on this island by far! Don’t listen to other people’s unrealistic expectations! I’ve ordered the beef pho, shrimp pad Thai, and shrimp fried rice.
