I'm giving it 2 stars to be as fair as possible, as there are a couple of people in the hotel who do try to provide good service, particularly Telyn who works nights; he was very kind and helpful.||In short, the stay is highly overpriced for what it is. Basically, every other hotel in Playa Bonita has better amenities, much nicer and more aesthetic facilities, and is in the same price range.||The food and drinks are good for the most part, but they are very expensive and have extremely slow service. For comparison, we went to have lunch at one of the nicest restaurants in Samaná city (probably the most luxurious in town), which had better prices and incomparable quality of service. We also had dinner at a nice, authentic Italian restaurant in Las Terrenas that had much better prices for food of similar quality and far better service.||They stated that breakfast starts at 8 am (which is the latest I have ever seen in any hotel), so the first morning we were there, to give them time we waited to get to the restaurant at 8:30 am and saw all the food ready. We approached the buffet to serve ourselves, but one lady from the staff rudely told us that the breakfast was not ready yet and that we had to "sit down and wait for her to tell us that is ready". On the second morning, they had omelets for breakfast that had to be ordered "a la carte". We stated our order very clearly, but 20 minutes later, the waitress came back to ask a second time what the order was, meaning the order had not even been placed and as incredible as it is there were only 2 tables total with customers at the time. About 40 minutes later, the omelets came, and one of them was mostly uncooked on the inside. I showed her how it was, and she took it back to the kitchen. To my surprise, she came back with the same now reheated omelet, not even having the decency to make the evidently partly uncooked omelet again in a proper manner.||The room was as basic as it gets: a small, uncomfortable "queen" bed, no TV, no hairdryer, and the air conditioner barely cooled in max settings, indicating poor maintenance. The bathroom was as small as it gets, especially the shower where any average-sized human barely fits, and the shower head stand was broken, having to battle it every time I wanted to take a shower because the shower head would fall out. There was no sound insulation at all, so you could hear everything that was going on outside, and vice versa. Room service did not change our towels when they made the room, and I doubt they did anything other than make the bed. To put the cherry on top, the room had a centipede problem, and we found four or five walking around inside the room, one of which was on top of the little couch in the room.||All the facilities in the hotel are basic and have no real aesthetic design. Also, the parking is terrible, and there is no space to comfortably park. One must park in a dirt lot away from the reception in a very unpleasant spot they have designated as the "parking lot" that has no security and no cameras.||The staff is not well trained or informed, every time I had a question about a price or a service, I was told to go and ask someone else and never received a straight answer.||All in all, it was a terrible decision to come to this hotel for a weekend break, 130$ dollars a night for this experience is not right in Dominican Republic, no matter how good the location is, and the worst part is that we chose it specifically because it was a bit over in price compared to other places in the area expecting it to have a personalized “boutique” service as well as it to be properly maintained.||This place is in urgent need of repricing and an assessment of which is their...

Read moreThis is a fantastic bed and breakfast type hotel, perfectly located on playa bonita one of the best beaches of Las Terrenas. The hotel is out of town a bit so very quiet, you wake up and walk on the beach, there is a nice pathway that runs the beach for walking, if you want some surf the waters in front of the hotel are a bit more agitated if you want a lagoon walk 300yds to the left and its perfect without waves. Service is outstanding as the owners are always there and attentive, breakfast is fresh with eggs, bread, jams fruits and your choice of juice and chocolate milk, coffee or tea. The restaurant has fresh menu items and are well prepared dishes, the room is simple but clean, bed is large and firm. Though AC is optional for a fee, the ceiling fan provides fresh air. You are in a tropical region so yes there are mosquitoes at night and proper care and protection is advised, we only saw 5 mosquitoes in 4 days in our room so no big deal. This is a very nice quiet place and i could not have enjoyed it more. Ive stayed in 10 other hotels in Las Terrenas and this one is my favorite for its beach location quiet times and convenience. Will be back.||||Merci encore pour un excellent sejour, votre proprieter est superbe, simple, propre et toujours avec un excellent service. Ont...
