Hostal Cañalimeña — Hotel in Baños de Agua Santa

We stayed here for two weeks and really had a super time. Our private room had a large comfortable bed and our own bathroom with shower. The shower has real hot water (not suicide electric head) and the hot water was consistent.||||Our balcony had two chairs and we spent a lot of time looking at traffic and people below. We could see the waterfall through our large windows while lying in bed.||||The kitchen is nice for a hostel and we made dinner several times. The gas stove is in a little room next to the kitchen in case you're looking for it in the photos.||||This is not a party hostel, but the ground floor tends to be busy with reception, dining area, and lounge. We were on the upper floors and it was mostly peaceful. The first weekend we were there, a party pub up the street blared music until 2am but things were mostly quiet the following two weeks. ||||Our price for such a nice room was very inexpensive, and is the best bargain for a private room with private bath I have ever seen in S. America. The owner and staff are exceptionally nice people. If you can deal with that party pub on the weekends, I highly recommend this place for couples...

Hacia muchísimos ruidos a las 2400 y a las 6:00! No podía dormir.

He pedido un cuatro con un balcón pero mi cuatro no tiene nada. Además es pequeñísimo. No ha bajado el precio. Son simpáticas la gente pero no estoy contento con la calidad pobrecita.

Extremely noisy at night and also in the morning! At 12 midnight the security guard was blasting TV/radio, as two guests spoke loudly in the lobby right next to my room. Upon complaint the noise did NOT subdue. I demanded a room change, which was granted — imagine I had to pack and move at midnight!

I also booked a room with a balcony but I was instead given a room without a balcony/view on the ground floor. They were overbooked and no mention was made of a fee reduction. In fact when I paid they had no change and I had to wait for a long time. The room I got is also extremely small — no closet for clothes and only one small nightstand.

I honestly don’t understand how this place is so well reviewed. Yes the people working there are nice — in fact very kind and polite. But I pay for a room mainly to sleep — good service is necessary but clearly...

Stayed there a few times when we were in Baños and had different typs of rooms. On the first floor we had nice doublerooms, with windows and private bathroom. Beds were ok, rooms clean and quiete. Last stay was a cheaper room on the groundfloor next to the kitchen. Only windows to the room next door which locates the oven...this one is ok for a short stay, but we prefer the upstair rooms. Kitchen is clean and had good facilitys, also the owners cook there. Staff is really nice, laundry service worked out good and they also have a rooftop terrace with hammocks. We would...
