The hotel is located in the Darasa area of Cairo, which is a 15 minute drive from the airport, 20 minutes to the Pyramids, 5 minutes to the Citadel, 3 minutes to Azhar park and a 5 minute walk to the famous Khan Khalili bazaar. There are several eateries, local convenience stores, a cafe and mobile phone shop within a 10 second walk of the hotel. Very safe area to be in, so that was an added bonus. We took a triple room, ensuite and it was very spacious, clean and homely. Hot water was available 24 hours and the shower was great. The hotel staff speak several languages and are wonderful people. They went out of their way to make us feel at home and accommodated all of our requests. Really enjoyed our stay here and highly recommend it to travellers and families.

Honestly, old and unclean place to stay in. AC was working (thank God it was around 48°) but the tv didn't and the fridge OMG smelled like a dead body had been in it. All bed sheets are old, dirty and smelly. You actually don't even want to know about the shower which is not even one. I won't tell either about the staff that smiled only when we gave them money. Don't take the breakfast. You'll understand just by the picture I 've sent. I'll never come back again there.

Very good location. Walking distance to tourist attaction. 30 second walk to main street. Less than 5 minute walk to main bus stop that takes you to all areas around Egypt. Room 201 was spacious, AC was very good, speed internet in the roomd, but sometimes it is switched off and you have to ask them to switch it on. Room and bathroom are very clean. I didn't have a TV in my room. Very cheep price.

Due to financial and logistical constraints we ended up staying in old Cairo.||||We are 20 minutes (with no traffic. Don't bet on that however) from all the major ||historical sites and the Khalily souk was a 5 minute walk away.||||The hotels a standard 3 star. But the hotel and location felt old school chic.||Literally one morning there was a random white guy having a cigar, reading the paper whilst having breakfast in the open roof top floor breakfast area (calling it a restaurant would be a stretch).||||We had all sorts of tourists here. ||||But breakfast of eggs and fresh bread with tea was always quality.||It was fresh and tasty. ||||The hotel staff always went out of their way to help. and the service could be slow but that's Egypt.||||The staff were also brilliant with tips on places to eat, leisure activities and places of interest to visit.||||And they provided a free pick up from the airport. Brilliant guys with a heart of gold.||||We even went Alexandria for the day [found the driver [peter] and his people carrier on trip advisor]||Absolutely fantastic place.||||So if you guys want to go Indiana Jones stylee exploring... then highly recommend old Cairo||||Plus this place is cheap.||£1 is 23 Egyptian so full meals for 4 of us costs £3 English in total.||4 teas £1.||||We used to buy fresh bread etc from the vendors, 10 pence.||And I'm assuming we paying the tourist...
