A Deeply Disappointing Experience
Unfortunately, my recent experience with the front desk staff at Radisson Residence Cairo was extremely disappointing and far below the standards expected from a hotel under the Radisson name.
Upon arrival, I presented a fully paid and confirmed reservation made through a booking app. However, the front desk staff bluntly informed me that “the reservation doesn’t exist” in their system. What’s worse, they refused to contact the booking platform or make any effort to resolve the issue.
The situation escalated when I was told, with complete disregard, “There are no available rooms, and that’s not my problem” — as if I were not a paying guest with valid rights.
Without any proper coordination, I was sent to another branch of the hotel, only to discover upon arrival that no one had been informed of my case. I was forced to explain the situation all over again and wait for three hours at the reception.
In the end, I was told to “make a new booking and pay again,” as if none of the inconvenience mattered.
How can a hotel of this level allow such an unprofessional, frustrating, and frankly, disrespectful experience?
As a guest, I expect that in case of an issue, front desk staff would act promptly, politely, and efficiently to assist — not push the problem aside and treat the guest with indifference.
This was a completely unprofessional experience that does not reflect the values or standards one would associate with the...
Read moreThe apartments are spacious and newly furnished, but unfortunately, they require significant maintenance. The first apartment we stayed in had several issues— the balcony door was broken and wouldn’t close, the bathroom flush wouldn’t stop running, and the coffee pods provided didn’t fit the coffee machine. Additionally, cleanliness was a concern. We found a sock from a previous guest in the drawer, dust everywhere, and the floor felt oily. The pool area also needs attention. The furniture was covered in dust, and the bathroom in the pool area was similarly dusty. It was located in a building that was still under construction, which took away from the experience. Due to the balcony door and cleanliness issues, we requested to change apartments. The second apartment we were moved to was bigger, but unfortunately, it had the same cleanliness problems. The bathtub was oddly installed inside the shower box, which caused further malfunction issues like water going out. Additionally, the safe in the room was not securely attached to the wall, making it easy to remove. The complex where the hotel is located had several abandoned restaurants and coffee shops full of dust, making the entire area feel neglected and not well taken care of. Despite these issues and being a Radisson Premium member, I was not offered any discount or goodwill gesture, even after multiple complaints. Given the various problems, the price/quality ratio at this residence is...
