Heliopolis Rock Residence — Hotel in Cairo

Was in Cairo for a month and Half and decided to stay at this hotel . ||Pros : ||Clean , cozy , great wifi ( in rooms close to the elevator or stairs ) good cheap food , walking distance from the sun city mall , ample parking space , power back up and quite . Very close to the airport and very inexpensive . ||||Cons : You end up playing dumbsharades with the front desk trying to explain to them what to do . Even for housekeeping or laundry . Lacks a gym . ||||Overall the studio type rooms with all the basic utensils and limited toiletries , this hotel provides a lot for less . The person in charge Mr Mohammed ( almost everyone has the same name but this one is older ) is a very humble and kindhearted person we have ever come across . Very helpful and simple . ||Overall exception place to stay...

Im so glad I had a contact in Cairo and saved me from a nightmare hotel. This current hotel just open 6 months ago and is by far the best one I seen. If your traveling with pets to Cairo I would like to warn you. Most hotels are pet friendly only if you leave your pet to sleep outside and it is not safe. Is like a puppy mill. Yes you will see many cats and dogs walking the streets of Cairo. It is very sad and heartbreaking. But again other than the Hilton inn by the Neil, this hotel has it all but no one knows about it. Just to be fare, if is your first time in Cairo do not be scared, getting to this hotel is a bit scary since you have to go behind allies and a few check points but again just look at the pictures...

We scheduled a hotel shuttle from the airport and was sent a car with no seatbelts.|We arrived at almost midnight to discover the Internet was broken. They then sent us to a room with a pile of dirty sheets in the floor and No MATRESS!|We went to ask for a new room and the guy didn’t believe us and took us back to the original Room.|After he saw there was no bed, he took us to a new room where there was no toilet paper, towels, or any toiletries whatsoever! After asking for these items and waiting 15 minutes, I went downstairs where the two men were just chatting and not doing anything. I sat in the lobby until they went to get these items before finally returning to our room. Stay far away...
