Belle Vue Hotel Marsa Matrouh — Hotel in Matruh

Let me start by the positives, the housekeeping staff was very polite and helpful. That's it, nothing else is good about this hotel.

Now to the price, for a triple room (double room with an extra person) we paid almost 10K EGP per night. Which set the expectations high.

The room was not prepared for 3 but rather for two (not enough towels, bed sheets or toiletries) we had to ask for everything, no extra bed even, I was told I can sleep on the couch, which was not even covered with a sheet or anything.

The air-conditioning control unit was broken. The water pressure was very low. Not enough toilet paper in the room, had to ask for it. The TV was broken, had to be replaced. The food was ok, but one of the main dishes "Kibbah" tasted like the meat has gone bad before it was prepared. At the beach there were only plastic chairs, when I asked for a Chaise Longue, I was told I have to pay extra, as if I have not paid enough. Was given only one room key for 3 people, and when asked I asked for another one, I was asked to come back in the evening. The elevator close to the room was not working. No water is provided during breakfast or dinner (you have to pay extra for it)

In summary, I have been in a lot of hotels with different tiers, even budget ones and they were still better than this hotel, and based on the price we paid for this hotel, I had much higher expectations, you definitely don't get what you...

If you care about attention to detail, care about everything being new and spotless and like luxury and good service this place isn't for you.

They renovated the same old furniture after 30+ years finally. But that's it. It's a nice family oriented place, food is inedible, service is average, rooms are average. All seaview rooms closer to the cafe on the right have music blasting all day and night till 4 and 5 am couldn't sleep and hotel management couldn't do anything about it. Kettle was broken, fridge was broken but replaced when asked several times. Showers are old, leak and have mold. If you just wana have a good time don't really mind these things and just enjoy your stay.

Only pro is the beach and seaview is worth driving this far for tbh. Even though all the jetskis and speedboat ls ruin it's serenity and calmness. No pool though and it has been like this since they opened.

Tbh not going back again, I've been coming each year with my family but now it's not worth it.

The cons are: The room in Bellevue Beau Site are really old , mold can be seen in the ceilings and even water was dripping The sleeping sofa is broken not only in our rooms but in our friends’ rooms too No pool which was a problem for my kids since their skin couldn’t handle the sea water for the whole day there was not alternative. Next door beach called “Eagle Beach” has night party with very very loud speakers till 4 am in the morning and we couldn’t sleep even we were in the 4th floor and our friends were in the ground floor told me they felt like the party was in their room.
