Amazing 14 Days at Hotel 59 Beausite, Marsa Matrouh We stayed at this hotel from 21.08. – 04.09.2025 and it was a fantastic choice for our first time in Egypt by the Mediterranean Sea (until now, we only knew the Red Sea resorts). Hotel & Location A smaller, modernized hotel with a great atmosphere – much better than a huge resort. It’s located on the edge of Marsa Matrouh’s center, so the street in front can be busy during the season, but this didn’t affect our comfort. The beach is beautiful, with white sand and a private swimming area. Just a few steps away, there’s a big local market with everything from clothes to spices. Rooms We stayed in room 3307 on the 3rd floor – spacious, clean, with a large balcony and direct sea view. The bed had a very comfortable, high-quality mattress. Standard facilities: LED TV, fridge, and safe. Bathroom was fine, but the gap under the door let in light from the corridor at night. Food & Drinks Food variety was good for the hotel size, and we never had to wait in long lines. Special thanks to Chef Mohamed for the delicious beef in mustard sauce – unforgettable! And thanks to Kerols for always finding mustard when I needed it. Services The hotel has a small shop with souvenirs, cigarettes, and SIM cards (6.5 GB for €10). You can even have a handmade, hand-painted magnet created on the spot – a nice touch. What Could Be Better • A shower at the beach (not only a foot rinse) would be great. • No hairdryer in the room – unusual for a hotel of this category. • Shower layout in the bathroom made it easy to splash water outside. Staff & Atmosphere We sincerely want to thank all the staff of Hotel 59 for making our 14 days so enjoyable. I would have to list absolutely everyone here – from reception (especially the night receptionist, who I often asked to exchange bills for smaller ones), to the dining staff, beach service (see the gallery for a photo of our personal bartender), the beach bar, pool bar (Remy – don’t forget to keep improving your English 😉), the night bar with great drinks, and of course Yasser – thank you! And we’re sure we haven’t mentioned everyone – but our thanks go to all of you. And we must not forget madame Christy – thank you. We really enjoyed our stay and can only recommend Hotel 59 Beausite for anyone looking for a smaller, friendly hotel with great service and a perfect beach. Marcel & Timi

I am not as satisfied as I've expected by my stay at the beausite 59 Hotel. Pros: The rooms quality, decoration, lighting, and room service are excellent. The food quality is great -staff is friendly - The beach is excellent - Jet skis are fairly priced Cons: - Building obstructing the seaview from our room, when we specifically asked for a clear sea view -Bed sheets aren't ironed as other 5-star hotels -hotel management is favouring economy and being cheap over the satisfaction of their guests, which is unprofessional. -No toothbrushes?!??!??!??! We asked multiple times and the room service staff and receptionist said that they dont even have those in the entire hotel chain, which is extremely unprofessional. - The towels seem old and worn, even though this hotel is less than a month old. - Unprofessional restaurant policy, they dont offer water or drinks in the "open buffet" dinner, we asked for water and they said it'd be an extra charge, even though water is practically free relatively. - A 5-star hotel without espresso? They use Nescafe for coffee even in the cafe, where we pay for the coffee. - The hotel refused to solve most of these problems, and refused to serve us water in dinner. - While the food quality is good, the variation is pretty low in my opinion. - No activities in the hotel, for example: other hotels have "ping pong", volleyball, and other fun activities managed by an entertainment team that this hotel lacks, so staying here is pretty boring. Finally, this hotel would be a perfect place to stay at for vacation in matruh if they were to increase their budget and fix these easily solvable issues, untill then, I'm not returning.

Hotel 59 is a new and generally clean hotel in Marsa Matrouh with a friendly and helpful team—special thanks to Magdy, Kereloss, Fady, Emad, Yasser, Evraam, Ragab, and others. The beach was beautiful, though there were a couple of days with seaweed. To be fair, the staff did their best to clean it up. Food on the first night was disappointing (low in quantity and quality), but once we raised our concerns with the owners, we noticed immediate improvement the next day. That said, options remained limited, possibly due to the small size of the hotel. Rooms are cleaned daily, but often still felt sandy. A bigger issue was noise—street-facing rooms are not well soundproofed. We could hear loud music until 4 a.m., dogs fighting, and mosque prayers. If you’re sensitive to noise, avoid street-view rooms—can’t comment on sea-view rooms. Entertainment was offered every other night. Given the energy of the surrounding area, having something every night would have been more fitting. One downside was at checkout. We left our room at 12 p.m. and went to grab a bite before leaving, only to be told we had to pay since we had officially checked out. It felt like a petty policy for a small meal right before departure. Lastly, the owners are present on-site, which is good in theory—but watching guests closely during meals felt a bit intrusive. Overall, Hotel 59 has potential and a great team, but it needs some fine-tuning to deliver a truly comfortable and welcoming guest experience.

I was looking for a place where I can enjoy Egypt’s beautiful beaches and with a nice decent culture, service and distinguished guests. The quality of management, the quality of service, food, revenue of value for what you paid and quality of guests in any resort can make your experience the best or break it. That is my mindset and if it is yours too then Beausite 59 is definitely your place to go. I heard while booking about so many hotels and resorts which are extremely expensive beyond even a ritz Carlton in the Bahamas! I tried a few of those I will say but I did not enjoy and my high expectations fell short for all my goals stated above! Then I heard about Beausite 59 and I was hesitant in the beginning and then I was like what we loose lets book a night! One night led to extending another and so on! Everything you can think of is there! Marsa Matrouh maybe chaotic but Beausite 59 stands in out as a nice small cozy elegant authentic place! The vibe, the decoration the service the attention to the smallest details the care and the excellent management by Christine makes a world of difference!!! You will truly feel you are in an exotic resort outside of Egypt. The rooms with mid-century modern furniture, the cleanliness, the amenities and the quality of the experience is by far the best I had in Egypt and stands out by genuine authentic high-class vibe that is hard to find in Egypt and even better than all those overrated resorts. Food is amazing, healthy, high quality, good varieties and cooked with high quality ingredients so in fact my stomach did not feel sick eating like I did elsewhere!! Long story short: if you want a unique experience combining elegance, high quality, Marsa Matrouh beautiful beaches and being away from the Chaos this is your place!!!| I whole heartedly double down that it is...
