My family unfortunatly stayed in this hotel for one night in May 2024( our flight was moved and in hotel where we stayed for 1 week was no more avaiable rooms) , but it was long enought to see all bad side of this hotel. the founders should conduct an investigation into the work of the hotel management because there are many omissions. Finally, I want to ask if it is the hotel manager's job to court married women in a primitive and tasteless way? Is it the hotel manager's job that when you book a room of a higher category on Booking.com, he puts you in a room of a lower category and convinces you that he has done you a favor?When your first impression is bad, can the rest be great?
To founders of a Blend Hotels & Resorts grupation I have to say that with management ( mr. Ismail ) of Blend Club Aqua Resort and reception desk is better to put the key in the lock and close the hotel.
It is almost unbeliveable that under the same roof works 2 hotels - Calimera Blend Paradise and Blend Club Aqua resort. For small price difference you will get 5x more in Calimera. Both hotels use the same beach and same aqua park. Aquapark is 10-15 min away which is on hot sunny day with children sometimes not so close. From Calimera you have shuttle every few minutes. From Blen Club just 2x per day. Funny is that some of the kitchen stuff work in both hotels but the choice, taste, freshness and quality of food between these 2 hotels is like comparing moldy bread with some quality fish. In this hotel WiFi is only at reception desk and it is very poor. In Calimera WiFi is everywhere except at the beach and swimming pool. At Blend Club one of 2 pools was under construction. There are no facilities for children such as an outdoor playground, only a paved courtyard. I wish to write review with 0* but I gave 2 because I saw that the workers who work on maintaining hygiene, as well as the waiters in the restaurant, are aware of all the shortcomings of this facility and their management, and they are probably poorly paid, but they still try to leave a good impression in the eyes of the guests. The rooms were clean, but old and with many technical defects. Horrible food in restaurant, not enought free tables, not enought clean dishes and cutlery. The faces of the waiters show that both they and we are in a general chaos, but waiters with their kindness and effort to speak to the guest in a language that we can understand, they are trying to save the face of their employer. Yesterday, we left this location. Overall, everything was fine. The food was good and sufficiently varied. At the bars, Coca-Cola beverages are available, but you need to specify that you want "Cola bottle" or "Cola original" to avoid getting it from the dispenser. Every evening, there is a barbecue. On some days, there were no bananas available, but when we asked the kitchen for some for our baby, we received them every time. The staff is friendly and eager to make your stay as pleasant as possible. Tipping was not expected, and the services were good whether or not tips were given.
As mentioned in other reviews, the hotel is older: the furniture is not new but serves its purpose well. The beds are comfortable (confirmed by several people in our group), and the bed linens were changed daily, as were most of the towels.
The shuttle bus to the beach and aqua park runs non-stop throughout the day, arriving and departing every few minutes. Some days, we walked instead; it’s about 800–900 meters.
The aqua park was fun and very close to the beach. Only one slide was out of service; otherwise, the entire aqua park was fully operational and problem-free. Every morning, we saw staff climbing the slides to check the joints. We didn’t notice any cracks or issues that could pose a safety hazard. Currently, the aqua park is open from 10 AM to 12 PM and from 2 PM to 4 PM.
The beach is nice, and the water doesn’t recede as it does at other hotels, so you can swim equally well in the morning or evening. There are also corals in the water, allowing for snorkeling and observing a small part of marine life. We saw some fascinating fish, both large and small.
On the beach, there is a hotel restaurant offering a more limited all-inclusive menu, but you can still enjoy a decent lunch without leaving the beach. Options include soup, rice, fries, pasta, meat in sauce, freshly made pizza (baked on-site in front of you), occasional grilled items (prepared on site in front of you), fish, fruits, bread, coffee, and soft drinks.
Every evening, we went outside the resort to nearby shops. Some in our group took a taxi to a local mall. The area outside the resort seems safe. We all went out together, including kids and babies.
The evening entertainment was minimal, with only the fire show standing out. Every evening, there’s a kids’ program upstairs, above the restaurant, which lasts until 9:30 PM.
There are areas for improvement, of course. Everything depends on the price you pay.
