We stayed for 5 nights and had a good time overall. We arrived very late at night/early hours of the morning and they opened the restaurant especially to give us some food and drinks after a long travel day which was appreciated as no hotel has done this for us in the past. I requested a ground floor room as I cannot manage steps due to a surgery I had recently, the hotel kindly accommodated this without issue and went the extra mile an gave us a room close to the amenities and reception so I didn’t need to walk too far. The rooms are very dark and only have 1 plug socket however (take an extension lead), beds are very uncomfortable like a slab of concrete and the pillow like a bag of rocks. That would be my only down side on the rooms. Air con is really good and not capped or chargeable like in a lot of hotels, beach towels are provided in advance in the room at no cost and the cleaning team are friendly always saying hello and asking if you need water etc. they did cute fun things with the towels as well making swans, elephants, hearts and I really liked this nice touch.
There is a lot of nice pools but uncomfy sun loungers, whilst it was busy with a lot reserved in advance we always managed to find beds around 11-12pm when we would wonder out to the pool areas. The relaxing lounge pool area was my favourite with water sunbeds which are needed due to how hot it is, one of the life guards was a bit much however constantly on at everyone for having fun with inflatables or beach balls etc when they weren’t causing any problems or disruptions for others. The bar by this pool is shocking! Staff are always in a mood and very rude, German guests pushing in and being rude to other guests as well as staff members, no consistency with the cocktails - if you want a cocktail avoid this bar and go to the one at reception!
Very annoyingly there is always men coming around trying to sell you trips, clean your sunglasses or just begging for change which is not something you want when you’re trying to relax and enjoy the few days of the year you have for holidays. Also the shop on site makes the prices up and all charge different. I was charged $15 for 1 Fanta, 1 carton of orange juice and 1 milka chocolate bar. Daylight robbery! You are made to sign on arrival though to say any issues in the shop are not the hotels responsibility.
The WiFi was atrocious so I recommend getting a SIM card with data upon arrival.
Food at the restaurant whilst repetitive, was nice and I’m a very fussy eater who doesn’t like all inclusive meals ever so this is a big compliment!
The beach is lovely and they have a camel named Oscar who made my holiday! The men at the stable on the beach accommodated my needs after recent ankle surgery and helped me be able to still have a short ride and pet Oscar without hurting myself which I was very grateful for because this was something I really wanted to do and worried that my injury would’ve prevented me.
There is no worthwhile evening entertainment, you can sit on the beach or on the loungers if you want to enjoy the heat and relax outdoors. The bar stops at 10pm and is then an a la carte only which we were surprised to find as our travel agent had advertised this differently. Not the hotels fault but worth noting if you are expecting drinks late at night.
Overall, perfect holiday if you want to just chill, sunbathe, enjoy the pool and beach and have a clean, safe room. Don’t go however if you are expecting 5 star service and drinks or things to do outside of the hotel, hurghada seems very run down and unsafe outside of the hotels.
My highlights would be the lounge pool area, Oscar the camel, good air con and the reception bar cocktails. Oh and late checkout options which meant we could enjoy our full last day before a late flight.
Downsides within the hotels controls would be purely the service and lack of friendliness from most...
Read moreWe had a great experience at JAZ aquamarine . First thing to note. There are two hotels side-by-side. Owned by the jaz group. We stayed at blue Marine and the one beside was aquamarine. We found in general blue marine was much more peaceful/quiet even they did have an animation team. On the aquamarine side we had the feeling it was a bit more party and fun oriented. Definitely much more activities happening. We were so happy being on the blue Marine side
We visited in the summertime the first two weeks of July , we managed, but it was definitely too hot for our two children. Our seven-year-old, unfortunately got a heat rash due to the extreme temperatures.
But luckily, there are lots of places to get shade. And of course, when you are inside, everything is air-conditioned.
The service we received in the one restaurant was top. I personally come from a service industry background, and I was absolutely amazed with not only the service but the consistency.
The animation team was great. It was a smaller group than the other hotel. But they were very personable, always stopped for a chat. But never felt annoying to us. If you are going there look for. Chey-an absolute gym with so much positive energy. She really went above and beyond, not only informing us of the daily activities, but if we needed help with anything, she was more than happy to help. I even saw her giving a helping hand to the cleaning staff. Really An all rounder that company is lucky to have her.
The pool in general was good. Lots of space. And at blue Marine was never really busy. We love the lazy river. Never been to a hotel where they clean the pool as much as they did. At least 2 to 3 times a day. The staff were cleaning the filters. One afternoon the pool was completely closed. I believe so they could put new chemicals in.
If I need to pick anything on the hotel, the pool is unfortunately one of those points. It is very clearly in need of a new liner. You can see it when you are by the wall of the pool that it just needs a complete refurbishment. They’ve also included what looks like a sandy area. This part we did not enjoy it all. It was quite a rough surface And I saw at least 3 to 4 kids really scratch up their knees. I guess the idea is interesting, but in general would be nice if it was just a normal pool liner.
The pool is still very enjoyable, and a great experience because there are lifeguards everywhere always watching. But if I’m going to critique anything, it would be the pool itself.
Food was good. We had no major issues. We just ate what we felt we enjoyed. Naturally there was some food we didn’t enjoy. And some things we avoided. But that’s to be expected in hotels with restaurants that deal with math consumption. The chefs and staff were always open for feedback. And we had no major issues in regards to digestion and tummy issues. There is a bigger restaurant called the four corners that serves both hotels. There we felt was more choice, but that restaurant was very overwhelming and very loud and very large. We just enjoyed the small buffet restaurant by the reception building. Especially because our hotel room was directly beside.
We can recommend room 6159. Directly beside the reception. And on hot vacation stays great to be close to the air condition building beside. We never found it loud, it was always clean. Like any of these hotels there’s definitely room for refurbishment , but we always had clean towels, everything was always working, and there was never a moment we felt uncomfortable in our room.
Overall, we would highly recommend this hotel. Funny enough we just discovered my husband’s brother and family were at this hotel a few years ago as well.
We will for sure come back next year. But perhaps in the fall. Summer was just a bit too hot for us.
The beach is also very nice and clean. But we did not go that far due to the fact it was...

Check-in & Staff: Check-in was smooth and welcoming. We were greeted with warm smiles and a refreshing welcome drink. The front desk staff were incredibly friendly, professional, and more than happy to offer local tips and assist with anything we needed during our stay.

Amenities & Facilities: The resort grounds are stunning—lush, well-maintained, and thoughtfully laid out. The pool area is expansive with plenty of loungers and shaded spots. The beach is just a short walk away, and the clear water is ideal for swimming and snorkeling. The spa and fitness center were also top-notch.

From the generous breakfast buffet to the à la carte dinners, every meal was delicious and fresh, with a wide variety of international and local dishes. The themed dinners were a great surprise, and the staff always went out of their way to accommodate special requests.
Entertainment: The entertainment team deserves a special shoutout—they were energetic, fun, and kept both kids and adults engaged without being intrusive. Evening shows were well organised and added a fun touch to the nights.
