I would like to tell you about my bad experience at the Calimera Blind Paradise Hotel in Hurghada. The hotel where the lights go out more than we shower! Or the hotel that is disgusted with Egyptians and wants to receive only Germans and English 😀 In case someone is thinking of going there As for the positives , to be honest ..
The beach is very nice and you can go down there and you will like it The aqua park is big and nice but it is strangely crowded since it is for 3 hotels and I did not use it The green spaces are nice and relaxing for the eye The best thing about the hotel is the animation team, honestly, the team is very sweet and the foreign girls in the team are nice and create a nice atmosphere and their show creates a nice atmosphere Whether in the morning or parties at night And really this team makes up for a lot of the bad management of the hotel Also the foreign girl in charge of the kids club She is very friendly and very polite and you can trust her with your children In general, foreigners treat Egyptians 100 times better than bad manners Egyptians together
Now let's get to the dark side First: Housing I arrived at the hotel at 9 o'clock, I met the receptionist, he told me there are no vacant rooms now You will stay at your time.. Fine, I have no problem as long as this is available The air conditioning in the reception is not working The reception consists of 3 partitions, only one of which is working poorly And the rest you are sitting in a sauna.. We are sitting sweating, I swear to God, and my children are not stopping crying I went back to the receptionist and said, please go ahead and give me the room at 2 o'clock! No, the first disrespectful employee threatened me that he might not give me the room because they are fully booked in the hotel And if there is something, I should contact the company that booked it for me! When my voice started to rise, and he knows that my reservation is paid, the ill-mannered employee was kind and started to move, and thankfully he gave me the room at 3:10!! And to punish me as an Egyptian customer who didn't like my appearance, he handed me over to the last and farthest room in the hotel, literally 600 to 700 meters away from the restaurant and the bathroom, and he struggles to get to the restaurant, the bathroom, or the lobby every time!! By the way, the employee's name is (A. S). And I want to tell you that this is the first time I've been to a hotel and because of the chaos and poor management, people were shouting and cursing the employees because of their coldness And the Pasha, with all his coldness, "Don't yell at me, I'm not afraid of you." Zero customer service
As for the room
The amount of ants, mosquitoes and insects is terrifying
I swear to God we had allergies and itching and my legs were hurt from ant bites!!!
To the point that there were "geckos" in the room
Geckos, people
The air conditioning in the room is weak and almost doesn't work at all
I entered the room from here and the light went out at 4 and didn't come back on until 6:30!! 😬
The next day the light went out at 9 in the morning
So my dear, when will the light come back on? We'll fix it at 1 because there are problems with the cables
And the light didn't come back on until 3 😀 And take from this every day
Second: The swimming pool The look of the towels you receive - if they were used to wipe the restaurant tables with them, they wouldn't look like this
Stained and torn and their smell is disgusting as if they weren't washed!! By God, by God, we were disgusted to put it on our bodies. I would tell the employee to find me another one and he would say, "They're all like that, man." He was busy with a phone call and ignored me.
The swimming pool doesn't seem to have any filters and it's not cleaned or what, I don't know what its condition is.
While you're standing in the swimming pool, you step on sand under your feet!!!
There's waste in the water that makes you feel disgusted. The swimming pool ladder is broken and not fixed . I was going down...
Read moreOur stay at Calimera Blend Paradise in December was enjoyable, with many highlights and a few areas that could use improvement. Pros: • Atmosphere & Service: The overall atmosphere of the hotel was warm and welcoming. The service in the restaurants was good, with kind and attentive waitstaff who ensured guests were comfortable and well taken care of. • Special Thanks to Mostafa Gamal: A special mention to Mostafa Gamal from the sport club. His enthusiasm and dedication were truly inspiring. It’s clear he loves his job, and his energy made activities even more enjoyable. • Food: The food in the main restaurants was delicious, fresh, and offered plenty of variety. There was something for everyone, whether you enjoy traditional dishes or international cuisine. We also dined at the Indian restaurant, which was a delightful surprise. The flavors and quality were excellent, and we highly recommend it to future guests. • Coffee Tip: A word of advice – skip the coffee in the main restaurant, as it’s of low quality. Instead, head to the lobby bar, where you can get a proper coffee from a pressure espresso machine. It’s much better! • Bottled Water: Bottled water was always available in the bars for guests to take as needed. Additionally, room service ensured the supply was replenished daily in our room, which was very convenient. • Reception Service: The reception team was always open to feedback and ready to solve any problems quickly. For instance, when we encountered an issue with our initial room, the team resolved it promptly and professionally. • Room Cleaning Creativity: One unexpected highlight was the fun we had with the room cleaning service. Nearly every day, we returned to a new towel animal on our bed, which brought smiles to our faces and added a personal touch to our stay. Cons: • Construction and Renovations: December seems to be a period of heavy construction and renovation at the hotel. Both outside and inside, there was noticeable drilling and construction noise throughout the day. It often started early in the morning, which made it difficult to sleep with the windows open. • Limited Heated Pools: Out of all the pools, only one was heated. This led to overcrowding, as most guests naturally gravitated toward it. The other pools, including the aquapark, were far too cold to enjoy during this time of year. Additionally, the pools closed at 4:30 PM, and guests were promptly asked to leave the water, which felt a bit restrictive. • Closed Bars: A few bars, such as the beach lounge, were closed during our stay, which was disappointing. It felt like some areas of the hotel weren’t fully operational. • Aggressive Sellers: Especially during the first few days, you might feel “attacked” by Egyptians walking near the pool or on the beach, trying to sell you excursions, spa services, or other products. Quick Tip: You can take a red flag from the towel center, which signals to sellers that you’re not interested—they should avoid you if you display it. • Initial Room Issues: The first room we were assigned had a terrible smell, which was disappointing. Thankfully, the reception staff quickly resolved the issue and moved us to a more comfortable room. • Hotel Condition: While the hotel has many positives, some areas are in need of renovation. The property isn’t as new as it appears in photos, and certain details could use improvement to better match its advertised appearance. Overall, despite the construction, aggressive sellers, and minor inconveniences, we had a pleasant stay. The hotel’s friendly staff, delicious food, and fun entertainment made up for the shortcomings. It’s a great destination for families and couples looking to relax, but if you’re visiting in December, be prepared for some construction noise, chilly pool water, and reduced facilities. With some renovations and refinements, this hotel has great potential for an even...
Read moreSo before i start saying anything if i could rate this hotel 0 stars i would but i cant so here's my experience there.(3nights and 4days) 1_ when we arrived there we booked 3 rooms and for them to be close to each other and for them to be close to the pool cause we have kids and a elderly person so what happened is they gave us one room and a really nice suite but it was so far,it was and the end of the hotel, really far from the pool and from the buffet and from everything else and one of the rooms still smelled like paint so we went to the reception and waited for decades to give us another rooms after like 2 hours of waiting they gave us 3 rooms but here's the thing there there were 2 rooms infront of each other and an another room and the end of the hallway like really far takes you like a couple of minutes to go there, so we called room service and told them that the 3rd room was very far from the 2 other rooms and we'd like a room more closer cause again we have kids with us and a elderly person, they denied and replied we're fully booked while there was barely any people in the hotel. We waited again and they called and said they weren't any available rooms and they hung up. 2_ the staff was completely rude everyone there had and attitude they won't even look you in the face while you were trying to talk to them, the pasta guy was so rude when my mother asked him if there is any white pasta available. 3_ the buffet was a disaster the food wasn't the best thing for a 5 star hotel the fruit was disgusting the melon was very unfresh, i have photos of the food and how it looked but you can't put photos here, they had only 1 type of rice, sushi was very bad, chicken wasn't tender and crunchy and it had a very bad smell, so the buffet was very disgusting, there was an ac in the hotel the reception and the buffet but it wasnt working , i have never seen a damn 5 star hotel without good working central ac. 4_ there was a room with good ac and two other rooms the ac was barely working, the central telephone there wasnt working so whenever we tried to call them from our room but we couldn't cause it wasn't working, and the bidet in the toilet wasn't working in the two other rooms, we called the reception for the ac,the telephone and the mattress, the mattress was so stiff and very uncomfortable so they sent someone for the ac and all he said was (دا آخرو) which isnt a proper way to talk to a guset and when he left they sent someone to fix the telephone but after he left, it stopped working and the guy who was supposed to change the matress came and the guy who was fixing the phone told him what are you doing here he said: (انا مش عارف هما باعتونى هنا) inthen the other guy replied (تعالى تعالى) so the matress wasn't changed or even touched. Mini bar wasn't working properly and when we went to the reception they sent some guy and he said if it doesn't work today I'll come fix it tomorrow. 4_the beach was so far from the hotel and for you to go there you need to ride a bus or to go by feet which is 1kilo far away, and its very hot so that would be a struggle,so we decided to go by bus we waited for 15 minutes cause it was so full the 3 times it stopped, 2 buses For 4 hotels?! Thats crazy atleast 2 buses for each hotel. 5_ there wasn't any activities, no animation team, the kids didn't enjoy anything at all, the beach was clean though. We stayed 1 night and packed our stuff and checked out and left. The hotel was very big but it needs more friendly staff and more activity and more life. Hotel needs more highly maintenance and more life. Do not...
