Very basic hotel. Overall I cannot say it was an awful experience - we had fun, no one got hurt or sick and rooms were fine. However, would I say this hotel lives up to its images and advertisements online? No. Rooms - I think my experience was better than others as I was travelling with Arabic speakers who ensured we got to check in early, had good rooms (even llowed us to check rooms) and brought us a kettle, coffee, tea. Beds were comfortable but pillows a little hard. Working fridge, AC and TV. Didn’t have any mosquito issues in the room - had to ensure porch door was closed but pretty standard in the climate. Bathrooms were basic but no issues. I do have to commend the cleaning staff, very friendly and liked to make the rooms up with shapes with towels and bedding and leaving flowers and fruit. Pools/beach - of the three pools, the centre one with the smaller slides was the best. It was reserved for hotel guests only and monitored. Lifeguards were generally quite on it however not many preventative measures in place otherwise, such as preventing young children to swim unsupervised. Pool was not particularly clean - water murky, some broken tiles and inefficient drainage surrounding the pool did cause a few slips. First aquapark and pool by the beach were mostly used by locals or day pass visitors. This meant they were very overcrowded and also had no sunloungers as advertised. Beach was nice enough. At all times there was someone approaching you to sell you something or get you to participate in some kind of activity - annoying as people are very persistent. Food/drink - the restaurant area was a good 5-10 minute walk from the reception area which was unexpected. The food was ok. As mentioned above none of my group suffered any issues from the buffet however the choices were the same every day with only 1-2 variations that were on some kind of rotation. Grill was okay, the meat was generally nice however the staff a little stingy. Nothing felt particularly fresh. Fruit and veg options very limited also with 1-2 fruit varieties per day and the salad bar being the same thing put out lunch and dinner, definitely just mixing in leftovers from previous days. There were enough tables however often not wiped between diners. Drinks were definitely a disappointment for me. Soft drinks during the day are water, 3 types of concentrate juices that were alarmingly false colours. The Fanta/coke/lemonade came from a machine and were flavourless. If you’re looking for an all inclusive to drink cocktails by the pool forget it. They have spirits but the mixers are only the above making them unpleasant to drink. No ice. At all. Anywhere. (Possibly for the best as mains water is not drinkable). In the evenings you could get these mysterious cocktails that were placed out at around 4/5pm and left there all evening. They would make them fresh if you asked but I could not tell you what any of them were. All used the funny coloured concentrated juices mentioned above and syrups of equally luminescent colours. The bar by the restaurants had a proper cocktail list but they were an extra charge - we didn’t even bother. Beer seemed ok, poured from glass bottles into plastic cups. That’s another thing - so much plastic 😭 really felt excessive. Ice cream was also disappointing. Only available at the beach between 3-5pm!! And even then they were the tiniest soft serve ice creams you’ve ever seen. Didn’t bother after the first one. There were shops available to buy snacks/drinks/souvenirs but all tourist traps with high prices. Other reviews mention the smell which was very bad and overwhelming. Only 2 social areas which were inevitably overcrowded. Evening entertainment was the same every day, aimed at young children and left a lot to be desired. I feel this venue has a lot of potential but lacks attention to detail and that’s what lets it down. Sadly a disappointing experience, won’t be returning.

The first day in the hotel was good. We arrived at 12:00 am. However the check in time was at 15:00. We gave extra 5 dollar and the reception checked in earlier. About the hotel area; The hotel location very good not far away from the airport. Inside the hotel is clean and beach inside the hotel. About the room; The rooms in the hotel not luxury but it's okay. You can manage it. No wifi in the room, you must pay to have internet GB 😞. WiFi only in the reception but not good. About the pools: There are 3 swimming pool. 1 direct in the entrance to the hotel right side with aqua park. Second one near the first one for kids and adults. Third one near the beach but not good for me. About restaurant and meals: The restaurant far from the hotel rooms. It's little bit hard to go to the restaurant in the sunny day. The meals are normal, not wooaaaw. Almost the same food every day. Inside the restaurant is hot, the climate not working good. The coca cola machine not working and the drinks are warm. ( They mixed juice with water everytime when finish). The bars workers are not good. If you give them some money you probably will have cool drinks. Another disappointed thing is place and limited food. If you will not come on time probably you will not find places to seat 🪑 inside the restaurant and will not to take some sweets. The cookers not polite, not smiling and not giving you something more than 2 piece. You must go to back again to the line to have more. ( It's hard to explain them we have kids and they don't want to stay in the line). There are a lot of local people inside the hotel. 99% of them are not polite and disrespectful. The Egyptian men everywhere with the group and they are trying to take phone number from the tourists girls. Another bad thinks is tour company inside the hotel Anex travel. Never buy Trip from them either from your travel company. You can make very good deal by searching google or you can find outside of the hotel. ( Travel company are the same). We also had problem with travelplanet company ( Location Krakow m1). They took money from us and then explained contract which was unprofessional. After payment they told us if you will have problem with flight it will be not their fault. Also after payment they told us we will receive our flight tickets on the same day. I should register in immigration office in Hurghada and asked help to guide me, nothing was solve. Not recommend this company as well.

We had such a great 15-day holiday in Mirage bay hotel Hotel area is huge, lots of greenery, well maintaned Breakfast, lunch, dinner, everything was tasty, delicious. Restaurant is large, there is always room for everybody, clean, waiters running up an down constantly. Bar at the beach serves pizza, burgers, french fries during the day. Ice cream also from 15-17h. Rooms are good, beds are large and comfortable, TV, fridge, A/C, bathroom was nice, terrace also. There is no safe in room. Animation team is perfect, we had such a great time with them, miss you guys :( Coral reef at the end of the pontone is great, not like ones in open sea, but we saw variety of fishes, crabs, snakes, etc. There is disco and bowling area on the beach, but it's closed. ONLY ONE "PROBLEM" - lagoon. There is too much seaweed, jellyfish, etc. OK, I know this is nature, so it didn't bother me, but some people may find this a big problem. Color of water is greenish, not clear blue, because of seaweed, but again - I didn't care. Right side of the beach has clearer water, so you can go there. There is always enough sunbeds and umbrellas. Anyway, it was a great holiday, everythihg was OK. At the end, I would like to thank these people individually, they made our vacaiton perfect: - animation team: Fox, Naoual, Buddy, Turbo, Dima, Olya, Tanya, Roma (miss you guys) - Medhat, beach boy (great guy, perfect English speaking) - Bassam, Hazem, Ahmedi from Karnak restaurant - Hazem, Mohamed, Moustafa, Ragab from reception and bar - Kareem, towel boy at the beach (learn more serbian words, I will question you next time :)) - Hassan, popcorn guy - Akram, cleaning guy from room 222A and B - Mohamed, pizza guy from the beach - Ibrahim, guy from beach bar, unique beer opening technique :) And for the end, special thanks for Mr. Ahmed Taher and Ayman (sorry didn't remember last name), thank you guys for everything, management should give you a salary increase :))

Long winded review: Excellent points: -The staff are amazing, they are very talkative and love having a conversation with you. We made a very close bond to the animation team, who were lovely and spoke to us every day without fail. -Outside the hotel, nice shops and pharmacy, they have good English and help with any worries. Ok points: -3 different pools to use, only 1 pool could do with a bit more cleaning, but it looked more like oils/creams in the corner of the pool, which understandably may not be helped during the day with people in and out of them. All the pools: beach has a shower and toilets close to them. -Showers and toilets get cleaned regularly, i put this in the Ok point as they take 30-45 minutes to clean and will not let you in the toilets at this time. Needs improvement: -The mini bar advertised in your room, is not a mini bar, you get 1/2 bottles of water. -Management do not care about what’s happens to you- we went as a group of 8, 4 of our towels got stolen when we went for lunch and after 2 hours of my own time, looking at CCTV and being with the manager, he told us that stealing was not accepted in the hotel, but then tried to get us to pay, even though we had evidence they had been stolen! -Sewage smell around the hotel regularly. -Food is very basic and every meal revolves around chicken and rice, 7/8 of our party refused to eat in the restaurant. -In the restaurant no body understands the meaning of queuing and people will cut in front of you and the staff will serve them, meaning you could be waiting 10 minutes for something and a family will cut in front of you, get served and you have to wait again. -The showers had no hot water in, one of party complained about this 6 times to reception for our 2 week stay and they made a joke saying ‘why do you want a hot shower when it’s hot outside anyway’… this was never sorted out. -Another party had a problem with their Aircon and it was leaking water, when reception was made aware, one said they would move them to another room and another staff member said no, they had to argue amongst themselves about it… then our party member said no, they want another room due to it being dangerous to heath and one of these members had asthma and it could really make them poorly, it took them 2 hours to give them another room key. -My room was not cleaned for 4 days, we had to ask reception for our room to be cleaned, when everyone else’s rooms was being cleaned every day. -Now please read this carefully, we do not blame the hotel or staff for this situation but we do blame them for allowing this guest to stay: A Russian guy moved one of our party’s sun bed and put his own bed in his place, in the shade, when one our party’s asked him to move politely, he got into their face screaming, and a CHILD got in the way, he slapped their arm, and then also pushed the CHILD into a table, which made him bleed. The animation team were amazing and stayed with the children, the staff tried to calm the situation down and asked the man to move, but another member of our party stood up and tried to ask him to move, which this man then pushed his sunbed into this party members shins! This party member then asked for police but they refused and moved this man down the beach with his bed and told our party to have a nice stay and that was it… later that night, this same man started an argument/ fight with another family. We saw the whole thing but staff didn’t get involved (neither did we, as the argument was with another Russian family and we didn’t understand what was said/ going on). -When checking out, we never got a curiosity room, we had to shower on the beach and change in the toilets. TOP TIPS: -Never drink the water, always have bottled water or water at any bar. -Always barter your prices, everything is about money. -Get your towels and sun beds early, by 7:30am-8am,spaces were taken… Please be aware that a towel does not reserve your bed, we watched plenty of people taking beds throughout the day! Lifeguards/ attendants also take...

Review of Mirage Bay Resort & Spa in Hurghada

My recent vacation at Mirage Bay Resort & Spa in Hurghada was nothing short of spectacular. From the moment I arrived, I was enamored by the resort’s captivating architecture and lush surroundings. Nestled along the coastline, the hotel is a paradise that perfectly merges luxury and natural beauty, offering an inviting escape from the hustle and bustle of everyday life.

Accommodation The moment I stepped into my room, I was greeted by a spacious, impeccably designed space that exuded comfort and elegance. The decor is modern yet warm, featuring soothing colors and high-quality furnishings. I was particularly impressed with the balcony, which offered breathtaking views of the Red Sea. It became my favorite spot for morning coffee and evening relaxation. The bed was large and comfortable, ensuring restful nights after a day filled with activities. The housekeeping staff was thorough and friendly, maintaining the room beautifully throughout my stay and ensuring I always had fresh towels and amenities at my disposal.

Dining Options One of the standout features of Mirage Bay is its diverse dining options. The resort offers a variety of restaurants, each with its unique theme and menu. I was pleasantly surprised by the quality of the food; every meal was a delight. Whether I was indulging in the lavish breakfast buffet, savoring fresh seafood at dinner, or enjoying the delicious pastries during afternoon tea, every bite was memorable. The themed nights were particularly enjoyable, providing an opportunity to experience different cuisines from around the world. I also appreciated the attentiveness of the staff; they were always ready to make recommendations and ensure that every dining experience was enjoyable.

Activities and Amenities Mirage Bay is packed with amenities suitable for all types of travelers. There are several swimming pools scattered throughout the property, offering plenty of space to relax or swim. The infinity pool overlooking the sea was a personal favorite; its tranquil atmosphere was perfect for unwinding under the sun. The private beach is another highlight, featuring soft sand and crystal-clear waters. There were ample sun loungers and umbrellas, making it easy to spend entire days soaking up the sun.

For those seeking more active pursuits, the resort offers a myriad of water sports, including snorkeling and diving. I took a snorkeling excursion, and it was an unforgettable experience, allowing me to witness the vibrant marine life and stunning coral reefs of the Red Sea. Additionally, there were activities such as beach volleyball and water aerobics, keeping guests engaged and entertained.

Wellness and Spa A visit to the resort's spa is a must. I indulged in a rejuvenating massage that melted away all my stresses. The ambiance of the spa was serene, with soft music and soothing scents. The therapists were highly skilled and attentive, ensuring that I felt pampered throughout my treatment. The spa also offered a variety of wellness programs, yoga classes, and beauty treatments, making it an ideal place to recharge.

Evening Entertainment As the sun set, Mirage Bay transformed into a lively hub filled with entertainment options. The resort organized various events, including live music, cultural performances, and themed parties. One evening, I enjoyed a spectacular show featuring traditional Egyptian dance, which truly immersed me in the local culture. The atmosphere was vibrant, and it provided an excellent opportunity to socialize with fellow guests.

Conclusion Overall, my experience at Mirage Bay Resort & Spa was exceptional. The combination of luxurious accommodations, exquisite dining, top-notch service, and a wealth of activities made this vacation a truly memorable one. Whether you are a couple seeking romance, a family looking for adventure, or a solo traveler in need of relaxation, this resort caters...

Sadly a disappointing experience, won’t...
