This vacation was a true discovery for us||We’ve traveled to Austria, Croatia, Slovenia, Italy, Portugal, Turkey… But it was here, in Egypt, at KaiSol Romance Resort, that we first experienced such a perfect combination of comfort, coziness, tranquility, and Ich service. This is one of those rare hotels you truly want to return to.||From the airport greeting — from the very first moment, we felt taken care of: we were met upon arrival, had a comfortable transfer, and were checked in quickly. Everything was organized clearly and with heart.||Peace and relaxation — we were looking for a quiet, relaxing vacation spot with no animation, no children, no loud beach music. The hotel exceeded our expectations. Excellent soundproofing in the room, comfortable beds and pillows — it was the first time ever that the pillow was absolutely perfect. In the evenings, in the area where the restaurants are located, there are live performances — singing, dancing, you can enjoy dinner with music and drinks while overlooking the sea. The atmosphere is truly pleasant.||The beach — perfectly clean, with comfortable loungers placed far apart from each other. There were always available loungers — both on the beach and by the pool, even when the hotel was fully booked. The entrance to the sea is comfortable — no need for water shoes. Drinks are brought directly to your sunbed. The beach is cleaned throughout the day, but very discreetly, without disturbing your rest. The sand is spotless — not a single paper or cigarette butt. The beach is literally one minute away from the room. There are great sunshaded cabanas, which was ideal for us since we prefer staying in the shade. One afternoon they even organized a barbecue right on the beach — atmospheric, delicious, and unforgettable. On another day, there was an open-air buffet, which created a special mood.||Pools and relaxation area — clean, well-maintained pools. Free sunbeds were available at any time of day, and drinks were also brought directly to you. There’s a jacuzzi, sauna, and a spa center. The gym is very good — equipped with high-quality machines.||Spa salon — as everywhere else in the hotel, it was spotless. I especially enjoyed the massage by an Egyptian woman — unfortunately, I forgot her name, but the massage was incredible. It was both relaxing and therapeutic — she worked through every muscle professionally. After the session, I felt truly relieved and full of energy.||The room — we stayed in room 1119 with a beautiful view. Housekeeping was excellent — clean, no unpleasant smells. Bed linen and towels were in perfect condition. Hot water was stable with great pressure. We had a room with a shower cabin, and unlike many hotels, the drainage was well-designed — no water pooling. The room had everything we needed — even a sewing kit. The balcony had a very handy drying rack, which turned out to be surprisingly useful. There was a kettle, coffee, tea, bottled water, etc., and everything was replenished regularly without any reminders. The young man who cleaned our room was quiet, polite, and always asked if we needed anything else. Wi-Fi worked well throughout the entire hotel, which is rare in Egypt.||Food — varied and delicious, with something for every taste. The presentation of the dishes was beautiful, everything was styled and served with care. Tablecloths and dishes were always perfectly clean. The waiters were fast, attentive, and polite. I usually don’t eat desserts, but here I simply couldn’t resist — they were different every day and always delicious. All dishes were fresh and warm. It felt more like a fine restaurant than a buffet. There are several à la carte restaurants, and you can book them yourself via a screen in the lobby — unlimited bookings. We especially loved the Italian restaurant — honestly, it was even better than in Italy 😂. The snack bar offered not only the usual burgers and fries, but also pizza, sandwiches, and light snacks. Everything was very tasty. We didn’t drink alcohol, but other guests said the cocktails were good and the selection was wide.||Staff — it's clear that the staff are well-trained and truly enjoy their work. Everyone was extremely polite, had a great sense of humor, fast yet not intrusive. They create a warm and caring atmosphere while maintaining full professionalism. You really feel like a welcome guest — and that’s very special. There’s also good security. The staff speaks English, German, and Russian.||Management — you can feel the strong management in every aspect: cleanliness, organization, atmosphere. The general manager of the hotel, Shoukry Moried, clearly knows what he’s doing. The quality of service and the smooth teamwork show that guests genuinely matter to him.||Conclusion — we honestly wouldn’t change a thing. Reviews like this once helped us choose this hotel, and now we’re happy to share our experience — we hope it helps someone else find their perfect...
Read moreWe visited Sunrise Romance Resort in August 2022. In general, we highly enjoyed our stay, and it came up to our expectations. On the positive site we want to especially point out:
Kindness of the personal. Everyone was very nice and welcoming beyond standard. Specifically we want to mention the beach bar crew with Karim, Youssef and Mohammed (Sorry if we spelled a name wrong). They worked very hard and still always kept a smile on. Irregularly, they even went around the beach served cold drinks on demand!
The hotel was very clean, and the room-cleaning service did a good job. Cleanliness of course is to be expected, but we have seen much dirty rooms in more expensive hotels!
The beach does not only offer normal sun loungers, but also sun beds (A frame of wood around two loungers with fabric on top and two curtains on the left and right). We used these beds ONLY as they offered much more privacy and shade in the UV-12 environment of the Red Sea.
Other guests were friendly, quiet, and generally what you would expect from an Adults Only Hotel. During our stay there were estimated 60% Germans.
Food quality, quantity and variety was good in general. Especially the snack bar is recommendable (Even if that means eating in 40°C). The Italian restaurant was also good. For the buffet maybe a bit fewer cakes and instead a bit more variety in hot food would be nice. We appreciated the dinner themes every evening, but they could be highlighted more!
We were allowed to keep our all inclusive bracelets after checkout for 3 more hours until our shuttle arrived.
Things that need improvement in our eyes are:
Maintenance State of our room and the beach equipment was not good. The room (We stayed in the “new” building of the hotel & of course we can only speak for our room) had some stains on the bathroom floor and the shower was leaking a bit of water. On the beach the wood of the umbrellas and frames would enjoy a new painting. This contrasts with the very good cleaning.
The workers at the buffet did not watch out for vegetarian diets. When we ordered an omelette at the station, the eggs and ingredients were mixed in the same bowl as the previous one, which contained sausage. A bit of this sausage ended up in our omelette. Even though we did not care too much, but still this is an inacceptable practice (What would Egyptians say if I cooked their beef in a pan where I fried my pork bacon in before?). Re-using bowls for mixing is common practice, but as a solution the workers could keep 1 bowl to mix omlettes that contains meat and 1 bowl for those without.
The room cleaning service moved cutlery, plates, and food leftovers (presumably from room service) from other rooms to the end of the hallway and left it standing there on the ground for hours until somebody else (we never saw who) picked it up. On our way to the restaurant / beach / pool we passed this pile of dirty dishes sometimes 6 times a day. There needs to be a staff-only place where the dirty plates can be stored that is out of sight for guests.
Sometimes the bars were unattended for over 15 minutes, despite being open. There were only 4 other people at the bar, so it is reasonable, that the bartender does not wait behind the bar the whole time, but 15 minutes is too long. Maybe you could install some kind of “notification mechanism” that let’s the bartender know somebody needs something? In the end we just went to another bar- fortunately there were enough!
The waiting times for drinks in the evening during the entertainment were too long. The staff worked very hard, but it were just too few people. This applies to other stations as well from time to time. For the evening we would recommend to offer a self-service bar at least for water bottels, like it was sometimes done at the buffets.
The asian restaurant was not good, mainly because it was way too greasy/oily. We would not recommend this restaurant.
Overall recommendable experience for a getaway vacation! We think that 7 days are...
Read moreA three-star hotel for the price of five stars. Don't really understand why it has such good reviews.
First, we were not greeted nicely upon arrival: A lady at the reception took our passports and silently pointed with her head towards the seat nearby where we spent 30 minutes sitting alone in total silence until we lost patience and went to ask what is going on. No "Hello, welcome", no "How was your trip?", no welcome drink, nothing. Very "nice" first impression... might seem like not a big deal, but if it was our honeymoon we would be pretty upset.
Then, we were finally given the key to our sea view room. When we entered the room I was SHOCKED how horrible it was. It was extremely dark and smelled like someone died there, the panel above the balcony door was broken and was just hanging down, the shower head was leaking and looked at least 20 years old, the chandelier in the bathroom was crooked and missing half of the decorative crystals... Honestly, I almost cried. We went to take a short walk thinking that maybe we were just tired from our trip and it's not too bad, but upon return we realised that we just can't stay there. So we went to the reception and asked for a different room. They gave us a beachfront room which was better, but you can still see that it's old. The AC was super loud (you cannot sleep while it's on - for us it was not an issue though because we came in November and it was not too hot). There were only two power sockets, one of which was not working (good luck charging all of your devices!). Hot water broke on the second day, luckily it was fixed quickly but we didn't even receive a basic "we apologize for the inconvenience" from the hotel. When we were shown this new room I saw construction works going on on the floor so I asked the lady (the same one who didn't even greet up upon arrival) if there are loud works going on, and she said "No, they already finished, they just need to bring in the beds". Well, that was a LIE. There was hammering and drilling and loud smoking workers and paint smells every day, the whole day! So relaxing after lunch in your room was absolutely not an option.
The sunbeds on the beach are old and dirtly, the fabric of the cabanas has holes in it and there are flies because no one cleans underneath them (or because they are just that old). The sea itself is really nice though - transparent water, clean beach, no complaints there. Highly recommend to take a snorkeling trip during your stay!!
One more huge issue was the exhaust vent of the hotel. It is SO loud that you just hear it everywhere, the whole day. The extremely loud constant humming is with you in the room, on the balcony, on the beach.. everywhere!! And that's considering that our room was on the opposite side of the building. Seriously - you come to the beach at 8am and it's so empty and nice and peaceful in all Sahl Hasheesh and only these exhaust vents are humming over the whole street!! The small cosmetic improvements they are doing in the rooms right now will not change this, the hotel needs a much substantial renovation.
The service overall was fine (apart from the lady at the reception, unfortunately don't know her name because she never introduced herself). The food in a-la-carte restaurants is great, but you need to wake up very early to reserve a spot. We particularly loved the Lebanese restaurant. The main restaurant served buffet breakfast, lunch and dinner - I wish there was fewer fried stuff and more healthy options available, but overall it was fine. The variety was enough.
There is live music in the evenings - more or less the same every day, but enough if you just want to sit and have a few drinks (wine and beer was okay, cocktails a bit watery. There are also non-alcoholic cocktails). We didn't spend much time at the outside bar because unfortunately 90% of the hotel guests smoke without stopping and this is not something we enjoy. Luckily, there is a very nice promenade along the beach so you can enjoy an evening walk...
