Pyramisa is one of our favourite hotels in Hurghada. Always full satisfaction. For the first time I visited this hotel in 2008 and since then I keep returning. It's a very friendly and welcoming place. Reception: At the beginning we've had a great welcome from front desk receptionist Ahmed Esmael who greeted us with smile and warmth. He gave us a nice room with a lovely view that we wouldn't even expect. He explained everything about the room and hotel clearly. Room: When we arrived to the room, it was one of those already refurbished. Very spacey and modern with a beautiful view from a balcony equipped with a glass table and two chairs. In the room we've found everything we needed for a 3 week stay. Kettle with cups and choice of tea. Hairdryer in bathroom. Large TV on the wall. Very big wardrobe with safe inside. Double bed for us, parents, A sofa bed and second bed for our daughters. Room was clean and tidy with supply of bottled water. Food and restaurants: the variety of food in main restaurant is good. Everyday you have choice of different meet, stews, huge bread station, huge pasta station, a great choice of fresh vegetables and fruits not to mention shocking variety of sweets and desserts. Every lunchtime and evening there's a barbecue outside where they serve lovely grilled meat or seafood. The service in the main restaurant is very friendly and helpful. Waiters and waitresses run along trying to meet needs of all the guests. Of someone is complaining about the food, I think they're just a type of people who complain about everything. Otherwise I wonder what they eat at home because even caviar and truffles after some time of repeating are boring. Lobby, cafeteria, bar: In lobby you will meet your guest relation. A super friendly and always smiling Hadeel. She's alesys ready and happy to help, often outside of her duty hours. If you need any explanation, help or book AlaCarte restaurant, meet Hadeel and she will help you. Thanks to her help we've always had our things sorted and our stay was super satisfying. In the cafeteria they serve a fresh coffee and tea with option of hot chocolate and all day sweet snack in form of pastries and cakes. At the main bar guys are always busy, this is a big hotel but they run around to serve everyone in acceptable time. The beer and wine are very good. The alcohol is not bad but don't expect a single malt whisky. I always go for a dark rum as this one is good even on its own. I don't like the taste of whisky which has medicine like taste. Gin and brand are also good. Our favourite barman was a friendly Taha from Kom Ombo. I don't remember his name but he was always nearby to take our orders. AlaCarte restaurants: Some time age a new AlaCarte restaurants manager began his duty - Mr Abou Taleb. Since he looks after restaurant everything is changing for better. The service is much better. The food quality is much better. He personally keeps and eye on everything to make sure there are no complaints. Mr Abou is always open to your feedback and suggestions. We've tried all the Alacarte and the Italian was our favourite and most satisfying. Entertainment: You can't get bored in Pyramisa. You will find there a gym, spa, several swimming pools wirh water slides and kids water play. Two of the swimming pools are heated in the winter. You have a huge nice beach with many beach activities. The animation team counts more than 10 people but unfortunately most of them speak Russian and they avoid English speaking guests. They should focus more on all people than only sit with Russian speaking people. Negatives: Like every hotel all over the world, Pyramisa also has negatives. One of the biggest misunderstandings is the bar on the island on the pool. For general guests it's accessible only till 5pm. After that you have to pay for drinks. From what we noticed, in the evening it was always empty. They should think their strategy over because I'm sure people would leave more tips than they earn from drinks sold during the charge hours. There are only 2...

THE ARRIVAL: We arrived at Pyramisa around 21:30. At the reception, they took our passports and immediately told us to go eat — without showing us to our room or even letting us relax for 10 minutes. We went to the main dining area and realized we had arrived during the very last minutes of dinner. Naturally, only scraps were left, and nothing looked appetizing, so we decided not to eat. We then went to the bar. I asked for a glass of wine — the bartender served me warm wine in a very, very dirty glass. My sister got a broken glass. At this point, we just wanted to go to our room.
THE ROOM: We got to our room and were immediately greeted by dust bunnies floating around. The floor was covered with black hair. The beds were old and bumpy, and the bedding was so worn out. The balcony door didn’t work. The A/C was broken and stuck at 16°C. The water glasses were dirty again, and the outlets near the bed didn’t work. We decided to just sleep and planned to change hotels the next day. Oh — and we woke up to a strong smell of paint because they started painting the hotel doors in the morning.
THE "UPGRADED" ROOM: The next morning, our tour guide informed us that it wouldn’t be possible to change hotels due to high demand. I was disappointed, but it is what it is. Hotel management offered us a “new” and “very nice” room in the area they called “Paradise.” I would call it one step above hell. The lady showing us the room walked us through a filthy corridor — dirt and sand everywhere. Maybe they were remodeling? But I didn’t see any construction workers. She opened the door and confidently said, “Welcome to a very nice room. You will like it.” First thing I saw? Hair on the floor — again. I pointed it out, she started taking pictures. We agreed to move again after an hour.
An hour later, we relocated to a new room. While the cleaner was cleaning, two other men were coaching him on how to do it. After the first cleaning round, they asked me to check the room — I ended up picking up hair with my fingers and handing it to them. They cleaned again. Still found hair. At that point, I gave up and asked them to leave. Oh and by the way, after one hour our ceiling started to leak and there were water all over in the shower. They managed to fix it but can you please tell me, when it is enough of tragedies...
FINAL NOTE: I’m giving two stars only because of a special shoutout to the cleaner named Rajab — he was incredibly kind, friendly, and genuinely...

Dear Hotel Management,
I am writing to express my disappointment with the level of service at your hotel, where my daughter is currently staying. Unfortunately, her experience has been far from satisfactory.
Firstly, the room cleaning is of poor quality—only superficial tidying is done, and the overall cleanliness leaves much to be desired. Additionally, the bed linen is old and in need of replacement.
In the restaurant, the glasses are not properly washed, making it unpleasant to use them. The service from the waitstaff is also unacceptable—waiters are not attentive, do not greet guests, and fail to offer or serve wine and beer. This lack of hospitality significantly affects the dining experience.
Overall, the hotel gives the impression of being tired and in need of revitalization. My daughter is very disappointed with her stay, which is not what we expected.
I urge the entire staff to refresh their approach starting tomorrow and show what this hotel is truly capable of. Please pay more attention to your guests, ensure clean and fresh bed linen in all rooms, actively offer and serve drinks in the restaurant, and make coffee more accessible.
Thank you for your attention. I hope to hear that positive changes have been made.
Disappointing Dining Experience – Not a 5-Star Standard
Stay at this hotel was disappointing, mainly due to the poor food quality and lack of proper hygiene in the kitchen. The dining organization does not meet the standards of a 5-star hotel.
The staff openly cooks with old, burnt oil, which has turned into a carcinogenic substance. Trays and frying pans are not washed properly, covered in layers of burnt grease and residue. There is a complete lack of butter and olive oil, and the cheese tastes artificial, like plastic. The cold cuts are full of chemicals and of very low quality.
At breakfast, they use frying pans that seem to have never been cleaned. The staff wears dirty uniforms and is generally unfriendly. The beach restaurant offers a very limited selection, and the fish is fried in carcinogenic oil, coated in flour, making it even harder and inedible.
There is no dedicated children's menu, and salads are not properly cut or prepared. Additionally, the staff shows clear favoritism toward Italian guests while ignoring others.
This hotel does not deserve a 5-star rating—it barely reaches a 3-star standard. I would not recommend it to anyone looking for quality service and proper hygiene. Best...
