The room was always clean, of course, you can't expect the same level of cleanliness as in Germany. What I mean by that is that no one moves the beds and cleans underneath them. The rest of the room was still very clean. The idea of an interim review is very commendable. The minor problems we had were resolved immediately, which made the vacation more relaxing.
The friendliness of the staff was okay, but unfortunately, nothing more. Some servers are very, very diligent, while others are not. The three pool guys (Samir, Achmed, and Osama) were particularly outstanding; without these three hard-working and cheerful waiters, it wouldn't have been half as enjoyable. However, a smile and a good morning could certainly be improved.
I was very surprised by the food. This was my sixth time at a Pickalbatros Hotel, but even the cocktails here were delicious. The food, especially at L'Asiatique, was excellent. The Soprano also impressed us. Please maintain this level of quality.
Everything was cleaned constantly. I just think the windows and doors of the buildings could be maintained a bit better.
The facility is well located and large enough that it doesn't necessarily have to be a Neverland. There are plenty of slides. A quick tip: the slides are for ages 10 and up. If your child is younger, say 8 or 9, you can ask for a liability waiver. Then the younger children can also use the slides.
Unfortunately, the entertainment was the worst aspect of the hotel. The information board should definitely be handed over to the animation team to ensure it is kept up to date. We were told that the animation team has to wait for approval from the GM (General Manager) to make the changes to the information board. THIS MUST BE CHANGED AS SOON AS POSSIBLE. Unfortunately, I can only recommend acrobatics and fire shows. The animation team always tried to encourage children and adults to play. Okay, asking every day wasn't necessary, but it does show a certain level of ambition.
We went to the beach three times in total. We always found a spot, and it wasn't completely run down. It's nice that there are lots of lifebuoys in the sea for the kids to hold on to. Overall, we liked the beach.
The pools themselves were always clean. The water quality was checked daily. The lifeguards take good care of the pools and even help with loungers if something is broken or someone needs to move something. We often went to the pool with the kids and were very happy.
What was a shame was that there were no spoons on the terraces at breakfast in any of the restaurants. You always had to ask for a large spoon for the children's cereal or get one yourself. If a table has four chairs, then at least four knives, forks, and spoons should be placed in the cutlery basket on the table on the terrace. PLEASE WORK ON THIS! I can't imagine there being too few knives, forks, and spoons in Egypt. All of the knives need to be replaced! YES, REALLY, ALL OF THEM, BECAUSE MOST KNIVES SIMPLY CUT ANYTHING ANYMORE! A little tip: you could also simply place the large spoons near the cereal dispenser. I know this is nitpicking, but it would make the vacation more relaxing for everyone.
We had a small problem with our shower, which was fixed immediately. It's very commendable that the shower hose, the bracket, and even the shower head were replaced immediately. Very good service.

Read moreOur stay at Pickalbatros Aqua Park Resort, Hurghada was nothing short of exceptional, truly one of the best family resorts we have experienced anywhere in the world. My wife, a senior accountant, our three children, and I, an executive, have been fortunate to travel widely, and this resort ranks right up there with the very best.
From the very start, the care and attention were outstanding. A huge shout-out to Ashma from Guest Relations, who reached out to us before our arrival. We had booked two separate rooms through Booking.com, but she ensured our family could stay together by arranging interconnecting rooms. To our surprise, she even upgraded us to a suite with a jacuzzi and sea view. That gesture meant so much, it elevated our stay and made us feel genuinely looked after from day one.
The staff throughout the resort were incredible. My two sons became regular visitors at the pasta bar and formed a bond with the chef we fondly called the “sauce guy.” His kindness and hospitality were remarkable, he made the boys feel special every single day. At the bars, especially by the aqua park entrance where my middle son Alex loved to stop in, the team were just as outstanding. They spoke excellent English, engaged with the children, and showed real care in making them feel comfortable. These personal touches went far beyond what we have come to expect from all-inclusive resorts.
The layout of the resort itself was superb. Multiple pools, including a fantastic swim-up bar, gave us plenty of variety. Right next to it, a basketball hoop became a family favorite, we spent hours playing together there. The aqua park was a highlight for the kids, with slides that kept them smiling and laughing all day long. The resort also had quieter spaces, which we really appreciated. After dinner, we often sat together playing Uno in the lounge areas while enjoying the evening entertainment, it was the perfect balance of relaxation and fun.
The beach was incredible, and everything felt thoughtfully designed to make the stay effortless. We were able to mix activity, leisure, and family time seamlessly. That blend, combined with the genuine hospitality, made it feel far removed from the “typical” all-inclusive. Instead, there was a real sense of personalization and care in every interaction.
Overall, this was a 10/10 experience. We felt welcomed, cared for, and treated with kindness at every stage. We are genuinely grateful to have had the chance to stay here, and we left with memories that our family will treasure for years to come. Pickalbatros Aqua Park Resort is not just a great place to stay in Hurghada, it is a resort that sets the standard for how family holidays should feel. We will absolutely be back, and I cannot recommend it...
Read moreThis is the hotel where I stayed for 5 days with my two children, having made a reservation through Booking. Since our flight arrived at night, we got to the hotel at 5 a.m. Because check-in time was in the afternoon, we thought we would have to nap in the lobby. When we arrived, Eid Michael at the reception welcomed us with a warm smile. After saying welcome, he kindly asked if we were hungry. Following this thoughtful gesture, they directed us to the restaurant with a staff member, even at that early hour. After having breakfast, we returned to the lobby, and about an hour later, he informed us that our room was ready. So early in the morning, we were able to go to our room and get some rest — which is a level of service you don’t often come across in hotels. All the staff at the hotel were very polite and helpful with every question we had. The family room they gave us was quite spacious — the four of us stayed very comfortably. The room was clean, and the furniture and appliances were new. Since the hotel is located within a large complex, there are numerous pools and aqua parks suitable for all ages. The open buffet breakfast was absolutely sufficient, but the dinner at all restaurants was simply amazing. Handmade pizzas, kebabs, seafood, pasta, and more — freshly prepared for each guest — were excellent. The meats were especially tasty. Since the restaurants are large and there are several of them, there was no issue with queues. There are bars within walking distance of all pools. Perhaps due to the season, we almost never had to wait in line. Ice cream is available all day long and it was very delicious. When we mentioned that we’d be leaving the hotel at 1:00 a.m. for a Cairo tour, they prepared breakfast boxes for us — a thoughtful and well-organized service. I’ve been to many 5-star hotels in Turkey, but I can confidently say I haven’t seen this level of service quality before. Things that could be improved: The animation team puts in effort to entertain guests, but I believe it could be improved further. Billiards should definitely be free of charge. My son, who is a licensed swimmer, wanted to swim once in the Olympic pool, but even for that, an extra payment was required. At the very least, guests should be allowed to try it once for free. The shops in the shopping area should be regulated — the prices are extremely high, 3 to 5 times more expensive compared to outside. In conclusion: This is definitely a hotel I will visit again. With the quality of service, the kindness of the staff, and the delicious food, it absolutely deserves 5 stars from me. I highly recommend this hotel to everyone.
Thank you so much again,...
