I literally have a big headache from this daily diving trip today. Seriously bad experience 😣 Can't describe everything that was wrong with them (would take to much time), but here are the main points.
Their organiser was terrible on every poin. Lied to me, made a big mistake based of their own bad assumption and tried to scam me for more money. Might sue them for this.
I have been to other diving ships on trips in Hurgada before and every one of them is far better.
So what happened?
I am an advanced PADI diver and I told them the day before the trip that I have been diving for years. They have put me on a intro diving trip, lying that I booked that option. They realized that on the ship after we already sailed away. There was another advanced guy in the group, which I was naturaly paired-up who they also didn't know about. He was also on their intro dive list. He booked through his hotel where he noted that he was AOWD. The guys from the boat checked that contacting their organisation and confirmed, so he was allowed to do the "professional" dives. I was denied, even when I proved that with the WhatsApp the messages what I noted. Their organiser over the phone made a very wrong assumption and now I had to pay for for it.
Long story short, I didn't get to do neither one of the two fully paid "professional dives" - shallow dives in common tourist snorkeling locations. They said they didn't prepare enough tanks for me to have regular dives, so I didn't have any!
The other guy (who is a great guy and even offered to give me his tank for the second dive) got two normal lasting dives. Also the two other divers who they had on their list for the "professional dives" had two regular dives. But no tank for me, no matter how angry and frustrated I got and I very much did. The guy who collected the money even straight up lied to, promising that I will have a second full dive. He also tried to scam me for more money, as the organiser person over the messages. And I already paid more than the rest of the people I was with (I checked), because I contacted them directly over the phone, when their site didn't work. Simultaneously on two fronts they were repeatedly trying to get more money from me for something that I have already more than fully paid for and didn't even get!
I was beyond outraged, because it was my last day here, so I don't have another chance to dive another day. And I told them that repeatedly, that is not even about the money. They just massively stood me up for the experience I was looking forward to and have bought a bunch of new equipment for. I had to settle for 10-15 minute (intro dives) and I was extremely disappointed. Had no other options at that point.
They stopped asking me for more money only when I demanded the full refund and that I am going to the police as soon as we get back on land. I didn't get a refund of course.
The guys on the boat are ok, but who doesn't brig a few reserve tank on a planed diving shipp full of people. Their math was 4 persons per thank... I literally had to go around and ask other diving ships nearby to lend be a...
