Me & my mum had an absolutely incredible 2 weeks at Aqua Vista resort. Check in was super easy, reception staff lovely. Room was big, plenty of storage space, some signs of wear and tear but nothing of significance and very clean. Beds were very comfortable, USB charging ports, free easy to use safe, free wifi, mini bar, kettle and tea making facilities. Huge walk in shower, but could do with some grab rails, we both have disabilities and reduced mobility, but other than that we cannot fault. Our housekeeper Mohammed (block 3) was wonderful, always left our room immaculate. All staff went above and beyond for us and we were made to feel welcome from the moment we arrived. All the staff are friendly, inclusive, accommodating and cannot do enough. El Sayed, Ayman, Ismail, Fawzy, Wael especially. Service was incredible regardless of tips. We didnt tip until the end of our holiday and this didn't impact on how we were treated. Entertainment was fantastic and the animation team are really friendly and inclusive. Something for everybody and different everyday. Demi from the animation team spent a lot of time getting to know us and kept us informed, we really appreciated this and she made us feel really welcome, thank you! Bibo also went out of his way to speak to us everyday and made us feel very welcome and included. Reviews and guest feedback seem important to the hotel, which is good and there was not any pressure. I said I would write a review once I got home, no problem and was not asked again. Pools were fantastic, some heated. Plenty of sunbeds and comfortable seating, life guards were really nice and accommodating and always got us seating and a table for where we wanted to be. We loved the rooftop pool and jacuzzi at the red sky bar but would recommend a lift being put here. As disabled guests with reduced mobility, getting up the stairs was difficult for us (but so worth it!) So we didn't get to spend as much time as we would have liked up there. Other than that the whole resort is very accessible with ramps everywhere, large flat pathways and pools easy to access. Would recommend this hotel to others with disabilities or reduced mobility. There are no lifts in the guests room blocks, so be sure to request a ground floor room if you need one. The grounds and entire resort is stunning and kept to a high standard. The whole place is very clean and well kept with staff working around the clock to keep it spotless. The food was beautiful with a lot of variety each day, chefs and waiters really friendly and welcoming. The salad bar was amazing with different prepared salads put on each day, food cooked fresh and very tasty. The Indian section was amazing with the tandoori chicken being a particular favourite. Fresh pizzas, pasta, breads, pastries and meats cooked at each meal time. Eggs and omelettes made fresh at breakfast. We thoroughly enjoyed every meal. We ate one night in the a la carte restaurant which had to be booked, this was beautiful and we really enjoyed our meal and the service. Drinks were really nice with so much choice! Especially enjoyed the mojitos. Throughout our stay we felt very safe, especially within the resort. Despite check out being at 12.30 and our transport not being until 15.00 we were still able to enjoy the facilities, all inclusive food and drink until we were picked up which we really appreciated. We did not want to leave Aqua Vista and we will definitely return. It soon felt like home and the staff like friends. We cannot wait...
Read moreHello! Finally have found time to write a review. We've spent a bit more than 2 weeks in hotel at second half of November. We are absolutely delighted with our wonderful holiday! We'd like to thank: Soprano Restaurant waiter Mahmoud Mohamed and his chef. Housekeeping - Ahmed and his chef. Pool area workers. Millenium Bar waiters! Reception - Ali! And of course Valeria! All minor problems were resolved quickly, friendly and promptly on the spot. The staff is BEST. They paid lot of attention to make our holiday perfect. The food was perfectly prepared, service at Soprano Restaurant was best, the staff were wonderful! There was not a single case of poisoning, also thanks to the fact that there was enough drinking water in the room. The cleaning of our room was 100 out of 100! Our room boy was simply magnificent - friendly, helped with everything, made beautiful figures on the bed for us, which made us very happy upon our return. Thank you, Ahmed!!! The gardeners do an amazing job, the whole area is incredibly well-kept, beautiful and clean! Every corner has beautiful palm trees and plants. Aqua Vista located close to Senzo Mall, which makes shopping enjoyable. Some of negative moments, unfortunately, below... The beach area of 4 stars on the beach is inconvenient, for guests there is only a concrete pier, so we did not use the beach. Absolutely terrible Spanish music all the time, the DJ doesn't know and don't care of tastes of guests and his job, the animation team - only half of it did their job, the other two ladies are boring and arrogant. Caraoke never started in time, many guests left bar after waiting. The sellers of SPA salon are somewhat aggressive, the prices are very high, so they don't have buyers for their services. The prices are the same as in Germany, so there is no point. But we took a course of massages with my husband, in the end we decided to receive a massage only from one masseuse Hala cause others were bad. Her colleague once gave me a very rough massage, sharply pressed on my spine. For several weeks now my back has been hurting in this place, although before that nothing hurt. Going to visit a doctor. Also, one of the employees at the spa reception is incredibly unfriendly and rude. We didn't understand what he is doing there. The hotel managers should work with the spa staff. And lower the prices for services - you will get more customers! Unfortunately, we had noise at night until 3 am from neighbors in the house. The reception staff is afraid of causing trouble to guests, so the problem was apparently solved only by the departure of these uncultured people. These moments left an unpleasant impression. We would also like to leave one comment. There are a lot of complaints in the reviews about tips. The employees fully deserve them, firstly, and secondly, we did not notice that anyone was ignored in service without tips! The complaint about Mahmud Mohammed in one of the reviews is a lie! This employee was never rude, he was absolutely always friendly and professional, and we wish him all the best! Honestly, I don't think that 10-15 EUR tips for whole vacation make you poor, guys. In whole EU waiters, houskeeping etc. getting tips. It's absolutely normal. People working hard and they deserve it. We will definitely come back here, we really loved the hotel, thanks again to all the hotel staff for a wonderful...
Read moreFirst time in Egypt and we picked Aqua Vista because of the reviews. Check in was fine, gave a rubbish map with opening times for the restaurants, but felt it lacked info. It is immaculately clean hotel. Rooms are spotless, Infact everywhere is spotless I don't think I've been in a hotel that has ever been so clean. Staff are very good, we did tip a bit but wish we had tipped the lifeguards sooner for the sunbeds. There's lots going on around the hotel, animation team seem good. We never joined in with anything tho. There are boards up around telling you what's on but more information is needed. I did find an app but a lot of the information was incorrect in it. Food was a hit or a miss we did always find something to eat but the meat could be tough, choices a bit random. We liked the pool bar at the Aqua bit and Tagine buffet was our favourite. We went to the Asian one, wasnt too impressed and asked at reception if we needed to book for the a'lcarte and told no. Went into the colonies and told you need to book at reception the next day. Went and it was fully booked for the time we had left.
Reception staff let the hotel down, we went twice regarding the hot water in the room (in order to get hot water you had to run it for five mins) sometimes we had water and first time we mentioned it, someone came up ran the taps and we had water. Next morning however no hot water... Went back and mentioned again and told to phone down when we got back, however when we got back it was working again, but next day same again. We got given a questionnaire four days in which we wrote about the water, day after our water was roasting? The staff at reception couldn't be bother with us. Everyone else however was fantastic. I have given it four stars however due to the alcohol, the spirits were disgusting. No cocktail list, sometimes you could get one somewhere and not other places tho no matter what we tried it was undrinkable. This did put a dampener on the holiday, the white wine was ok but not able to drink that all the time. This is also the first hotel I've been to where they constantly come and try and sell you stuff round the pool, murder. We did get the do not disturb flag after a couple of days which was fab. There's nothing round this hotel, taxis are cheap (use in drive app) but even then there's not much to do. We did the mall, marina and some trips. We walked to the beach but didn't know there was snack bar there, which we seen on the review sheet on the check out. Again no information given.
Unfortunately our weather wasn't great in the beginning of the week with it being rather cold. Which the locals said was unusual. Reception ask people to leave five star TripAdvisor reviews and they will let them have their room for longer after checkout puts a bad taste in your mouth.
Spa - Spa prices were mental, got it down to 40 euros each for full body and Turkish Haman. Massage was ok, but both my friend and I were in the same room, the girls talked and laughed at each other throughout and felt like they were talking about us. Turkish haman consisted in them putting bubbles all over us but no exfoliating or massage....
