3rd time in this hotel, we were 4 families with 8 adults and 3 children. At arrival 02:30am we still waited for 1 hour to get the rooms. The room for the family of 4 did not have towels for all. The room for the family of 3 smelled of mold. The other 2 were not sea/pool view as purchased. We managed in the morning to change the rooms.|The towels and bedsheets are not changed everyday, you need to talk and tip the cleaning team for that but even with the tips you might get stained bedsheets and fewer towels.|In the first 2 days we saw that the overall standards of the hotel have gone down since the previous visit. We visited Oct 2023, April 2024 and May 2025. 4 quarters of the team and staff has been changed but unfortunately not as professional as before. The facilities of the hotel are good but some of them need retouching, like the bathroom, the refrigerators in the room that get overheated and smell, the sun beds from the sea that when you sit on them they come over you and hit you in the head, the pool towels as well are very old, seems are loose and lost their colour or are straight spotted and if you check them at the towel center and see there are spotted and try to change them, depending on which staff you catch there you might be lucky to receive new ones. |The restaurant is very good, clean and the food varies a lot and it is plenty for a lot of tastes but keep in mind that if you are allergic or have intolerance to some produces it is not an option for you. This time, all food had garlic to which I am allergic but I managed to talk with one of the chefs and prepared me some small portion of what was cooking on the stove normally but without garlic. Of course, tipping was involved. |Animation team is not as energic as the previous years, they do not communicate very much with all tourists and the activities and shows are only at the beach at Piramysa. Previous years we had even singers in the restaurants, shows and mini disco at the sky bar, and separate shows at Piramysa. |The only 2 good coffees that remain in this hotel are the turkish one and the ice coffee caramel. The rest is automat coffee because no single espresso machine works. |On the disappointing note for which I strongly no longer recommend this hotel at all is the discrimination of tourists which previously did not happen. The staff from the lobby bar or beach bar (the new ones) try to save the situation by saying that they cannot know who is next but clearly a line forms. My entire group and other groups I’ve talked had the same problem. If there is a line, the Russians and Germans are served first and then the other tourist. Better yet, they send the kid and surely everybody in the line lets the kid have a juice or water, but instead appear the parents in the back after the juice is ordered and they order 4-5 drinks. The lobby bar is open 24h and you can find them there are any time of the day, making noise and also disturbing the silence in the corridors of the rooms when they get back. They also stay above the reception and restaurant balcony and talk loud that you cannot enjoy your meal. At the beach bar the occupy usually half of the chairs and tables and stay the whole day that other tourists need to take food to the beach. The new staff doesn’t speak so well english but seems that they know russian better and they can also hear the orders from the tables and prepare them while you are at the bar, first in line waiting to order. |Lastly and the most incredible thing/situation I have ever encountered until now in any hotel and especially in Egypt where I have been traveling, yearly or up to 4 times a year for more than 12 years, my entire group had its bracelet cut at 12:00 at checkout and I was informed that everything after that is extra charge (hotel policy) even though I had the transfer for the airport scheduled at 19:35. I want to mention that in 2023 and 2024 at the same hotel, this didn’t happened. I could benefit from dinner and hotel facilities and still had the bracelet on until the transfer. After calls and complaints both to the local tour operator and the agency from my country, we were allowed lunch and drinks from the lobby bar. The entire group had to go to the barters so they could remember or faces in order to know they are allowed to serve us. It was humiliating for us and other tourists that couldn’t get not even this. Not to mention the fact that we had 3 kids to explain why they cannot eat dinner or popcorn from the station at the restaurant or ice cream. This was the last straw. We either way did not benefit from lunch and dinner in the first day to which we have paid in full the room and food because we arrived at 02:30. Everybody just said that this is the hotel policy and shook their shoulders. |I will never again come back to this hotel nor recommend it to anyone else in my country. |My advice, think twice before you choose and check last reviews before you book. If you make excursions you might not feel the discomfort or sense what I...

I stayed at The V Luxury Resort hotel at the end of February 2025, and my experience was quite good. The hotel itself is beautiful. However, my first impression upon arrival wasn't great—the reception staff didn't come across as welcoming or particularly helpful. I felt somewhat ignored as they did not explain me anything ( I learned everything gradually myself). I arrived early in the morning, knowing that my room wouldn’t be available until 14:00, which was fine since I had plans to explore the location. At 11:00, I had a meeting with my tour delegate, who kindly arranged for my room to be ready earlier. By 11:30, I was already settled in.
Room: The room was perfect for my preferences—spacious with a lovely sea view, just as I had requested. While it wasn’t spotless (the floor could have been cleaner), I wasn’t too bothered as the bed and the bathroom (which was huge) were clean. The only issue I had was with the bed sheets—they felt a bit worn, with some pilling (катышки, žmolky), indicating they needed replacing. The minibar was well-stocked with drinks, and it was replenished when needed. Overall, I was satisfied with the room.
Hotel Location: The location was fantastic! The hotel’s surroundings were beautiful, and its position at the end of the promenade made it feel more private—no strangers were around, and only guests from the neighboring Pyramisa hotel had access to the area. However, while Pyramisa could enter the hotel’s grounds, they couldn’t access the indoor areas, restaurants, or amenities. We, on the other hand, had the option to use their facilities, including their restaurants ( buffet as well), but I didn’t take advantage of this as Pyramisa didn’t appeal to me.
Beach: The beach was stunning. The only downside is that, when walking further out into the water, the sea floor is hard, and there are corals and marine vegetation that make it a little tricky. Water shoes are recommended, though I managed to swim without them. There isn’t much water at low tide, and you’ll need to stay behind the buoys to swim properly. The sunbeds were comfortable, the towels were lovely, and the beach staff were attentive without being intrusive. They offered drinks and food throughout the day, with the exception of fruit/juice vendors who charged around $3-$5 is you were interested.
Food: The food was generally good, with a wide variety available almost around the clock. Breakfast was particularly enjoyable (I loved the fried donuts!), with a great selection of eggs, greens, and other options. Lunch and dinner were somewhat similar, but there was always something new to try—Indian, Italian, local, and Asian cuisines were all on offer. The buffet was large, spread across two halls, so there was quite a bit of walking involved, but that didn’t bother me. Drinks, including alcohol, were decent but not exceptional. For a quieter, better coffee experience, I preferred Brew Café, which had fewer people and a wider range of options. The beach bar/buffet was also nice, but I didn’t use it much since I was often too full.
Animation: I'm not a fan of hotel entertainment, so I didn’t engage much. There were daily activities, like morning stretching, and evening shows that I could hear from my room, though I didn’t attend any personally.
Neighborhood: The location was amazing. The 9km promenade is perfect for exploration, and taking a golf cart ride through the area is a great way to enjoy the surroundings. Sahl Hasheesh itself is beautiful, with lovely shops, cafes, and impressive (albeit fake) architecture. The main fountain was particularly beautiful and added to the charm of the area.
Some Cons: The hotel staff (men), could be a bit annoying at times, which was to be expected since I was a solo female traveler, but I eventually got used to it. Sometimes it was hard to find free table at the restaurant as there were too many people. Cleanliness could have been better, and unfortunately, the reception staff were not very friendly or helpful, which did slightly detract from my...
Read moreAfter staying I can say that I do not believe this is a 5 star hotel more of a 3.5/4. Please be prepared to be borderline harassed by the V luxury spa workers. First day we went to the beach, which would have been nice except we spent the time talking to at least 15 different spa workers trying to sell trips, massages, tattoos etc. They don’t take no for an answer they will force you to listen to long detailed explanations that you’ve heard at least 6 times that day. One worker actually woke me up by touching my feet, only to try and sell their excursions. It’s exhausting and annoying. They even patrol around the pool, less frequent but you will have to keep saying no to them at least 4/5 times a day. If the hotel does provide a service to stop them approaching, they didn’t tell us about it. Hotel Staff are excellent, especially the baggage staff, they’re very quick and polite. Mustafa in the pool bar and Azif (i think) in sky Breeze were both great! Most of the staff want the hotel to be great and do provide a good service. The lobby and walking areas are very pretty and kept looking pristine! Cleanliness is ok, although the chairs outside could do with more regular cleaning, covered in bird excrement. Bathrooms a little grubby but overall ok. Shower pressure is poor. Mini fridge was meant to be refilled within our stay and it wasn’t. Our air conditioning was faulty especially compared to my brothers in the next room. WiFi is poor and the hotel suffers from regular power outages. Food wise for me it was ok/good. Although my brother did get ill on the second to last day and we do believe it was food poising. I’d stay away from sushi and the fish. On one deep fried prawn I discovered the prawn hadn’t been cleaned properly and the poo sack hadn’t been removed. They do have a problem with Birds entering the restaurant and pecking at food, deserts look great and have a lot of selection although the sponges can be a little dry. That said pasta/noodles were very nice! Not much to do within the hotel itself and the entertainment wasn’t for us, great for kids however! If you’re looking for pool tables/gym they’re in the hotel next door. They do have a big screen showing sport on the night and upon request we were allowed to watch a game within the lobby which was appreciated! On our last day checkout was at 12 but our pick up wasn’t until 4:40. We had to give out towel cards back and had our wristbands cut off meaning we couldn’t sunbath or have any access to food or drinks even though we technically paid for all inclusive for that day. I think customers should be able to use facilities, and use wristbands up until pick up! We did go to a shop outside resort to pick up a few bits but we were hassled and questioned on the way back by someone who must have been ‘security’. The A La Carte experience at the Brazilian restaurant was disappointing and I would suggest giving it a miss and just going to the normal buffet instead. It was also a bit of a faff to book. Cocktails are very very strong, a little too much for our liking meaning we didn’t drink them as much as we thought, but depending on preferences this good be a positive or a negative. Also because drinks are done by the eye, they are inconsistent. Few staff on hand going round asking people if they want drinks, (apart from the two staff mentioned earlier) it’s very much a self service experience, which for a ‘5 star hotel’ may be a different experience for some. The ones that do come round on occasion are great however! Inconsistency when asking for drinks as well, sometimes you would be provided a glass, filled by the machine which was nice and cool, other times you would get a warm can. Finally, please be aware that you will be asked and even pressured by some workers in the hotel to provide a positive review and they will try and get you to do this in-front of them. From what I know the hotels in the area are in competition with each other so just bare this in mind. Overall ok, nothing outstanding, however for the price I can’t...
