Wow !!! What a wonderful hotel in a beautiful part of Egypt. Im writing this review whilst enjoying my final couple of days of a beautiful 2 weeks spent here at Rixos Premium Seagate.||Hotel & Grounds|This complex is huge and beautifully set out. We stayed in the main part of the hotel. You can also stay in the Aqua area, which is across the road. They provide shuttle buses between the two as no matter which part you stay in, you can enjoy both areas. We personally enjoyed the main area as this is where most of the restaurants and a la cartes are situated. There are 4 beautiful pools to laze around in the main area. We chose the pool situated just outside the main lobby because it was the chilled out place to be. There is the fountain pool and the main entertainment pool too. Also, around block 3-5, there is a little family pool. All pools have a bar area to keep refreshments flowing, and the lifeguards do an amazing job keeping the pools safe & clean. We were greeted daily by a warm welcome from Abdalah Mustafa, plus his towel art was awesome!!|The groundsman(they are in the green uniform)do an awesome job keeping the areas looking neat and tidy. Honestly, they dont stop. Whether it's cutting, mowing, or watering to make this place spotless.||Our room|We stayed in block 5. room 5210. Our room was spacious and overlooking the family pool. It had all the amenities you need, including toiletteries - shampoo, conditioner, and body wash (no need to pack your own as these were wonderful) We had a hairdryer that was powerful enough for my shoulder length hair. Tnere was also an iron and ironing board in the wardrobe along with a few coat hangers. The Tv was a nice flat screen with a variety of sports.film and news channels. Our mini bar was replenished daily with juice, water, a range of pop, Heineken, and snacks. There were 5 plug sockets in our room. So we didn't need an extension lead. It's the round pinned European plug you need here. |Our housekeeper Ibraham did an amazing job keeping our room very clean with plenty of clean towels and sheets changed daily. He's also happy to exchange items from the fridge that you need need ( we had full fat coke changed to coke Zero) ||Main buffet restaurant |We used the Turquiose restaurant for breakfast, a couple of lunches, and a few evening meals. The food choices for all parts of the day are exceptional. We never had the same dishes because there was so much to choose from. The staff in here work so hard keeping the tables tidy whilst looking after you. A special mention goes to the following staff for outstanding service and always with a smile. Nothing was too much trouble, and they always catered for your needs- Ahmed , Beshoy, Eslam Elsaid, and Ahmed (in the cream shirt) ||A la Cartes |We were able to enjoy the Asian, Salt, Mangal, Turkish, French, and The People's Restaurants. To do this, you need to either use the bar code on your TV screen ( click on the menu to bring that up) or via the WhatsApp link on the back of your information map. You do need to be on bang at 4 pm to choose your restaurant as the time slots fill up ever so quickly. In fact, by 4.05, they are usually all gone. If you have any issues, speak to Guest Relations, who are ever so good at sorting out any issues or booking you in for special celebrations. We found them ever so helpful throughout our stay. |The food and service in all of these restaurants were exceptional. The flavours and variety in all the dishes were outstanding, and we never left feeling hungry. A shout out to Mohammed and our bbq waiters at the Mangal (sorry, I didn't get your names ), but the photos are below. Your friendly hospitality made our visit so enjoyable. Unfortunately our only negative experience was in the People's Restaurant, it felt very rushed - we were enjoying our starters when our main course was brought out meaning we either had to rush our food so that our main course didn't go cold. Our drinks didn't arrive until after we had eaten our main course. We had been given all three courses within 20 minutes. This was so sad because the food was exceptional. ||The Greek Restaurant|This restaurant is so much fun and is situated over in the Aqua park. You do need to pay an extra 30$ per person, but it's so worth it. You have the opportunity to taste some authentic Greek food whilst enjoying a live band and plate smashing!! The staff are exceptional in here and want you to enjoy the food but also get up and immerse in the Greek dancing and entertainment. If you want to book this experience, pop to guest relations who will assist you. ||The beach |What a beautiful area, very clean with comfy loungers all provided with dividers/windbreaks that make your area more private. You do need to go along the pier half way for swimming as you can walk out for ages, and the water still only comes up to your shins. The snorkelling off the end of the pier is amazing and a must to see the beauty of the Egyptian Coral reef , it really is breathtaking and free!!! All you need is your snorkel as the hotel provides life jackets and flippers if you need them. There is a little shuttle buggy that will take you to the end as the pier is so long, but it's also a beautiful walk to see the many different fishes. ||Lobby Bar |It is a lovely area to relax and enjoy some refreshments. The drinks here are the best, and they do some wonderful cocktails, too. There is also a beautiful afternoon tea held here at 4 pm with a range of wonderful teas and cakes to try. ||Aqua park|We only had a little visit to see what its like but didn't use the facilities. The slides looked amazing and families were having lots of fun there. There is also a snack area to enjoy during the day with a variety of food and they have the Veranda restaurant for breakfast. Lunch and Dinner. ||Round up |All in all, if you book this hotel you won't be disappointed, it's a beautiful place with everything you need to relax and enjoy your stay. The staff, food, and grounds make this hotel a 5 star, and for that reason, we will definitely be visiting again. Thank you, Rixos, for making our stay one to remember. See you again...
Read moreWe stayed at Rixos Premium Seagate for 10 nights—a much-anticipated return to Sharm el Sheikh, 12 months after our last trip where we stayed at another nearby resort. Drawn by numerous positive reviews and past exceptional experiences at Rixos Bab al Bahr, we booked this resort with high expectations. While many aspects lived up to the Rixos name, others fell noticeably short, especially in terms of service and hospitality.||||Check-In & Accommodation||The resort is split between two main areas: the central building and the Aquapark side. Upon arrival at the main lobby, we were directed to check in at the Aquapark reception. A short buggy ride took us across, where we were greeted by Dabaka at the front desk, who was extremely helpful and upgraded one of our three rooms to a family suite.||||However, the rooms on the Aqua side felt quite dated, and the bathroom plumbing clearly needed maintenance or updating. For a resort positioned as five-star, these elements were noticeably below par.||||Food & Facilities||One of the highlights of our stay was undoubtedly the food. The buffet at Turquoise was exceptional, easily among the best we've experienced at any five-star resort, and in some ways superior to that at Rixos Bab al Bahr. The beach bar also served excellent food, and overall, dining quality was a strong point.||||Facilities were generally good. The gym areas—both indoors and the outdoor setup by the beach—were well-equipped with modern machines. However, some amenities need urgent attention: the sauna had missing floor panels, posing a clear safety risk, and the steam room was non-functional. These flaws detracted from an otherwise solid wellness offering.||||Getting on the buggys during peak times is a free for all. It seems only the British are the only ones who are polite enough and wait their turn. Everyone else just scrambles on without consideration of others who were waiting before them. However, the hotel does increase the number of buggys in circulation to alleviate this. ||||Drinks & Dining Experience||As a family who doesn’t consume alcohol, we were glad to have mocktails available, but their quality was hit or miss. It depended heavily on the staff member preparing them—some got the balance right, while others served what felt like random mixtures of fizzy drinks.||||Securing à la carte restaurant bookings was also a major hassle. We were only able to experience four, thanks to management stepping in—without which, we’d have missed this aspect entirely due to a frustrating reservation system.||||Activities||Snorkeling was superb—a standout experience for all of us. That said, guests should know there’s a long 10-minute walk on the pier to access it, unless you catch a ride on the buggy, which isn’t always available. In the late May heat, this was far from ideal.||||Service Experience: A Serious Concern||Unfortunately, the most disappointing part of our stay was the inconsistent and, at times, disheartening service. While a few staff members were warm and professional, the overall tone—especially in restaurants—made us feel more like an inconvenience than valued guests.||||As a visibly South Asian Muslim family from the UK, we are used to greeting others warmly in accordance with Islamic customs. Sadly, this was rarely reciprocated here. In contrast, we saw noticeably more friendly and welcoming service extended to white British and Russian guests. Having experienced racial bias in the UK, the undertones of prejudice here were all too familiar, and deeply disappointing.||||Our experience in Radamis and during our stay in Cairo with local Egyptian hosts was in stark contrast—where we were made to feel genuinely welcome, appreciated, and respected. This disparity was hard to ignore.||||To their credit, we did speak with a senior member of the Rixos team, who was extremely understanding and committed to escalating our concerns, stating that this is not what the Rixos brand represents. We sincerely hope our feedback results in meaningful change for the sake of future guests.||||Final Thoughts||Rixos Premium Seagate boasts world-class food, great facilities, and unbeatable snorkeling, but the service experience significantly detracted from our overall enjoyment. Regardless of how luxurious the amenities may be, hospitality is defined by how guests are treated, and on that front, we were left disheartened.||||We will not be returning to this property—not because it lacks quality or beauty, but because no guest should feel unwelcome based on their ethnicity, culture, or appearance. We hope that management takes this matter seriously and works to create a more inclusive and respectful...
Read moreWe stayed here as a family of 5, 2 adults , 3 kids ages 11, and 16. We had two rooms. |Checking in was quick , the main entrance very impressive and clean . We did request connecting rooms but unfortunately didn’t get this. We were in block 16 (main side ) but not even on the same floor as each other which was a pain and inconvenient but we weren’t going to let that ruin it for us . The rooms were clean . The cleaners do a fantastic job and are always super friendly , as are the staff that top up the fridge and snacks, if you want anything extra eg Twix’s then just ask ! I can’t remember the staff members names but we were room 16110 and 16224! Thank you for a great job! Rooms are spacious and have everything you need including toiletries . Hair dryer wasn’t great (no power ) air con was fantastic . Noise from the entertainment at night could be heard but never really affected us . |We spent time at all the pools but spent most of our time at the fountain pool. The life guards are fantastic . Help get your beds and are very professional, looking out for your safety . One great thing about this hotel is you don’t have to get up at the crack of dawn for beds. Life guards also remove towels if there’s no personal objects on the beds . They have a great system which really works well. The service at the pool bars is hit and miss. They need more bar staff . Too many guests for just one or two bar men who are working so hard. Sometimes they would take drink orders from your sun beds but this wasn’t consistent and to be honest at a five star I’d expect it to be . There are fridges throughout the resort with water and soft drinks but often the drinks were warm . |The grounds are so clean. The staff work so hard making it look beautiful . |Snorkelling off the pier is fantastic . Again the life guards are amazing . Zeyad especially took time to get in with my son and help him learn to dive down into the reef and be more confident in the water. |We saw some amazing fish . |The buggies were great but people are so rude pushing on and not waiting their turns especially when it came to going to aqua side . |We visited the aqua park several times during our stay , we found it best to go early, 10ish as it was less busy so more enjoyable. |The main Buffett was great . Elsaid and Ahmed ran a great team and treated us so well. They work long hours but never failed to have a smile on their face and make us feel special. Plenty of choice for lunch and dinner. |We managed to book the Al a carte restaurants. I didn’t like the booking system . Unless you were there 4pm on the dot you wouldn’t get a table . You shouldn’t have to stress about this on holiday but getting these reservations were very important to us. We ate in the Turkish , Asian , Italian , French , Brazilian , the people’s Resturant and the bbq . The food in these restaurants was really good but what we didn’t understand was how these restaurants (especially the Turkish, Italian and French ) were half empty! And you wonder why you can’t get a table? ! It’s not good enough . One night at the Italian we had a reservation for 8.30 and didn’t get our mains until 9.45!!! We were told how busy they were ! Sorry the Resturant isn’t full and that excuse isn’t good enough ! We didn’t get our drinks until after our starters. These are basics which a 5 star hotel shouldn’t have issues with . We complained to Andrew who promised us a reservation on our last night at the bbq restaurant as it was our favourite. He made promises as he was embarrassed about the poor service . Then we turn up and they knew nothing about the reservation he promised he would make for us. Very poor. They upholded his promise and were very apologetic. |We enjoyed the wine and some of the cocktails but they need to work on the pina coladas !! |The entertainment of an evening was great and very enjoyable. |We did two trips whilst there and used falcon adventures. The private speed boat was absolutely fantastic . We also did the buggies in the desert which was great fun . ||Last year we stayed at Rixos premium Belek. Seagate could use some of their services/ideas (what’s app assistant /booking Resturants) to bring this up to the same standard. ||Overall we had a fantastic time ! The staff absolutely make this hotel as special as it is . Would we recommend it to others , absolutely! Thank you for a...
