Recently stayed at this hotel with three young children. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay here.
The hotel grounds are in impeccable condition with regular maintenance by the hardworking staff continually trimming and watering the grass. It is very tidy and well presented. Signage is appropriate with paths clearly laid out to the different sections. I would not say it is too large and we managed to find our bearings within the first day which is positive.
The family room we stayed in was a generous size with large bedrooms and terrace. The main bedroom was divided from the two single beds via a sliding door. The bathroom was a decent size also. There was no iron provided but this can be requested via reception. Rooms are cleaned everyday to a good standard with replacement beach towels given.
Restaurants provided the standard variety of buffet food and there were themed nights at the main buffet restaurant. There is the option to book via the a la carte restaurants and there is an option to try these complimentary. These range from Greek/Asian/Indian/American/Stone Grill. The food was tasty and fresh daily. One negative I would point out is there was limited options for the childrenâs section. The waiters were polite and efficient although they were initially a bit slow to serve with the drinks. This could have been due to us visiting during the peak Easter holidays and this did improve during the latter part of the week.
The walk to the beach is a couple of minutes down from the main buffet restaurant. There are plenty of sunbeds available with a drinks bar located not too far away. The sea during April stretched far with the tide out and you could walk quite a bit further out without a worry. The sea is clean, and we did not see any seaweed on the beach.
The hotel has an activity schedule which you can follow and participate in via the app. Activities cater towards children and adults. We did not utilize the kids club as much as we would have liked. This was due to separating children into separate groups based on age. We were not given an option of a settling in period. We did find the staff to be very polite and friendly. The hotel also had a swim academy and football academy which kept the children entertained. There is also a high ropes course alongside a climbing wall which kept them busy.
There is a large swimming pool with the deepest part around 145cm. There are separate childrenâs pool areas with a mini slide and a larger pool area with two slides attached. As a guest of the hotel, you have access to another waterpark from the Coral Sea Aqua Club. This is located across the road and provides more entertainment and access to slides/water rides.
During our stay (April), there were quite a few mosquitos about in the evening and members of our party were bitten. The hotel does provide a mosquito plug in and spray for the room. This is something to be aware of and prepare beforehand.
Overall, we had a very enjoyable stay at the hotel. With a location of our fifteen minutes away from the airport with plenty of shops outside, we did not have to venture far to do our shopping. Staff were polite, professional, and provided a friendly service. Alongside the perfect weather, beautiful beach, and scrumptious food, we thoroughly enjoyed our stay and recommend this hotel to families with young children....
Read moreWhat can I say. Coral sea has become our favourite place in the world. Our first visit was 2 years ago when we had a swim up room. Since then we have been 8 times and had kids den room and deluxe double rooms. All rooms are very spacious with a huge walk in wardrobe. Rooms cleaners are amazing and do a great job. Your holiday experience starts as soon as you get off the bus. You are greeted in reception with a glass of something and check in is quick. During the form filling process your luggage is loaded onto a buggy ready to give you a fun ride to your room. Mahmoud Atlam on reception is very helpful and we have used his assistance and knowledge many times on our visits. Food The main buffet restaurant serves a great selection. Breakfast gives you fresh egg and beef bacon cooking stations as well as providing a huge selection of pastries, cereals, yoghurt and fruit. Lunch and dinner they always have a pasta cooking station and fresh pizzas and each night a different meat station. If you are here for 2 weeks it can get a little repetitive but that is where the a la cartes come in. You get 4 visits per 7 day stay and you can choose between Indian Chinese Greek and American. Hygiene They take this very seriously and are continually cleaning and wiping surfaces, changing serving spoons and checking food temperatures. If you get a bad belly itâs usually down to the heat or drinking too much alcohol in the sun. Staff These are the reason why we keep returning. They are honestly the most hardworking and friendliest people we have ever met. Nothing is too much trouble. They work 12 hour shifts I have no idea how they keep going in such heat and keep their enthusiasm going all day. Big shout out to Hany, Moneim, tamer, Abdo, the 2 Mohammedâs and 3 Ahmedâs at the pool bars who keep you hydrated all day. Romany, Mohamed, shady, and Dya in lobby bar who keep us going with a cup of tea and amazing iced lattes. Restaurant staff too many to mention. But they greet you with a smile every meal time and remember your drink preference. Faris, Sherriff, and all the Ahmedâs and Mohammedâs. Over the last 2 years we have noticed the hotel is making many changes to make peopleâs holiday experience better with changes to more higher spec food options, the refurbishment of rooms and restaurants and bars to more varied entertainment. The 2 uk guest acts this holiday were George Michael tribute and Shane Nolan. We have also seen a Robbie Williams one, all really good . Last night they even had an Ibiza DJ on the beach. Xmas and New Year We came December 2024. New year was spectacular with cocktail party to start the evening off before everyone moves to a huge marque on the beach for an amazing party to see in the new year. Highly recommend...

Our bath plug didnât work but was repaired within 10 minutes of asking, again, the staff on the whole are excellent. A particularly large shout out to the animation team and the biggest thank you of all to Kayleigh at the kids club, our eldest son was so excited to keep going back and she was central to our enjoyment due to having to wrangle a feral younger brother. Now, there are some things that should have been made more clear by TUI and the hotel listings. 1- The pools are clean and nice BUT⌠only 2 smaller pools are heated, the louder activity pool and the quiet pool, neither of which are particularly warm though. We had 20-25 degree weather for our week and there was not much improvement. The kids activity pool, the water slides and the main pool were FREEZING cold, even Wim Hoff wouldnât have braved them for long. Also of note is that the pools close at sunset everyday. 2-Be aware that the seafood and Stone-grill restaurants are the ones with extra charges. 3-The Greek and American restaurants are pretty underwhelming in terms of food quality. Not to say it was bad, but it wasnât as notably different from the buffet 4-The Asian restaurant was very tasty and was well worth the visit 5-The general buffet is fairly decent but the variety could be a little better as it felt quite repetitive after a week of breakfasts, lunch and dinners. 6-The kidâs playground is very tired and in need of a total overhaul. 7-Although it was excellent and we cannot praise Kayleigh enough, the kids club is for ages 4 and over, this was not made clear on the website. One of the reasons we booked here was the well reviewed kids club in the hope of both our boys being able to go. 8-The archery and high ropes course that look amazing fun apparently donât open until April which again, is not made very clear on websites. 9-The beach is nice and fairly clean but with fairly coarse sand for the most part, donât expect the fine golden sands. 10- Bring some coins and tip people, the staff deserve it and work incredibly hard. 11- Shukran = Thank you, say it, donât be ignorant
Overall, we have had a lovely stay and a great holiday, with a few minor improvements and more transparent advertising this really would be a very good 4 star...
