Royal Monte Carlo - Adults only — Hotel in South Sinai

Amazing stay yet again at this gorgeous hotel, we truly love and appreciate every visit, I cannot recommend it enough! The grounds are gorgeous and well looked after and the staff from every department are all amazing, friendly and work so hard, it doesn’t go unnoticed. Everyone greets you with a smile at this hotel! Special mention and thank you to some very special people who looked after us during our stay; Mahmoud Elsafty, who always takes great care of our arrangements prior to our trips and during, always very helpful and accommodating. Ahmed and Hermina in the Royal Lounge who took special care of us every day, amazing service, we always look forward to this duo who made our days special and made us laugh every day and not forgetting Nabil (chef) who looked after us on the first part of our trip, much appreciated his lovely food. Mohammed (Blue Gingir and Waves this trip) is always a pleasure and looked after us every day with care and Yassen and our old friend Hany in the Sky bar, amazing service and drinks, it was one of the highlights of our trip when Hany returned from leave during our stay, always a smile, very attentive and amazing service! Ayman (Indian restaurant, previously in Waves on our last trips), unfortunately we didn’t get to see Ayman as much as we would have liked this trip, we greatly missed the daily chats and his care, he is always a pleasure. Our seafood meal in the Cabanas at the Waves restaurant was made very special by Beshoy, was one for the memories! Finally, Yasser in Laluna restaurant such a friendly and welcoming gentleman and great food and Ayad our housekeeper who made sure our room was perfect every day. There really was so many more people who contributed to making our holiday memorable, but the list is endless, all staff should be very proud of the service and impact they make for the holidaymakers.|Booked for our next trip in November...

The hotel is stunning|The hotel is stunning. From first impressions, the reception from the staff, checking in, feeling welcome, no queuing, cold welcome drinks and a guided tour of the hotel and grounds. Plus a comprehensive description of services available to us. The pools are huge, and there are plenty of sunbeds either by the pool or on the beach, neither are far from the bar and restaurant area. There is a jetty for keen snorkelling enthusiasts, or for a swim only. The gardens are immaculate, and are beautifully designed. The service is impeccable. Nothing and I mean nothing is too much trouble. Special attention to Ahmed who works so hard in the bar, restaurants, beach and seemingly everywhere to deliver the best customer experience you could wish for. He quite frankly made our holiday. Also a special mention to the chefs in the Royal Lounge and Waves Bar who made eating there a pleasure. And to the cleaners of our room who were not only spotless but paid so much attention to detail with towels both on the bed and fresh towels for the beach every day. On the downside. The evening entertainment did let the side down. If you are looking for chill then this is the place for you. If you want evening liveliness then this is not for you. It starts late (9.30) and is mediocre at best. It is located at one end of the vast resort and leaves you wondering what was that? We payed the small extra charge when we booked for Royal Ultra All Inclusive, thinking it was just a room upgrade but it was much much more. Such as the Royal Lounge and Private Beach access. Mieszane uczucia co do hotelu. Na plus: brak robactwa na terenie hotelu, bardzo miły serwis, pokoje hotelowe bardzo przestronne i komfortowe, barmani bardzo sympatyczni, za napiwek robili dużo efektownych drinków, szczególnie na pochwałę zasługuje barman Hany ze Sky baru, który zrobił nam również z własnej inicjatywy herbatę na ból brzucha. Ogromnym plusem jest dostęp do przepięknej rafy przy hotelowym molo, gdzie można było snurkować. Plaże w porządku, baseny bardzo fajne. Całkiem fajnie prowadzony aqua aerobik i inne animacje oraz show dla gości. Hotel zadbany, bardzo ładny, pełen roślinności. Hotel miał też jednak sporo wad: największy minus, przez który mam mieszane odczucia to jedzenie. Było pozbawione jakiekolwiek smaku, wrażenie spożywania samej struktury jedzenia, bez walorów smakowych. Ponadto menu powtarzało się dosłownie codziennie, mało urozmaicony bufet. Niekiedy jedzenie z wczoraj serwowane było dnia następnego. Skromnie mówiąc, było po prostu tragiczne. Tak samo wszelkiego rodzaju desery, które bardzo ładnie prezentowały się w bufecie, ale bujne kolory i dekoracje na nich jedynie zwodziły ukazując brak jakiegokolwiek smaku. Przekąski w barze przy basenie również były okropne. Pizza z pół surowym ciastem. Dodatkowo napoje podawane w plastikowych kubkach, co na pewno nie jest zbyt higieniczne, a za to bardzo niekomfortowe. Kolejnym minusem było natręctwo niektórych operatorów wycieczek spoza hotelu. Niektórych z nich nie dało się spławić nawet i po 15 minutach dziękowania i wykazywania braku zainteresowania. Mały minus za skrzypiące drzwi od prysznica i niewygodną w użyciu suszarkę. Rozpiska show dla gości była nieaktualna, godziny występów również były często mylne. Animatorzy naciągali na wyjście poza hotel na jakąś imprezę z drogim biletem wstępu. Większość obsługi hotelowej zwracała się do nas głównie po rosyjsku, przez przewagę Rosjan wśród gości, co było dość męczące.

Jeżeli chodzi o wycieczki: mieszane odczucia ze względu na pominięcie niektórych elementów wycieczek, które były zawarte w ich opisie. Jedna wycieczka (quady, wielbłądy) została przesunięta o godzinę, przez co nie doświadczyliśmy zachodu słońca na pustyni, tak jak obiecywała oferta wycieczki. Nie dostaliśmy też żadnej herbaty wymienionej w ofercie. Na wielbłądach przejażdżka trwała niecałe 10 minut, a miało być 15. Przejazd quadami był bardzo spokojny, brakowało nam szybszych prędkości. Reszta w porządku. Druga wycieczka, na Ras Mohammed była nie warta swojej ceny. Większość wycieczki to podróż, za dużo ludzi, przez co było tłoczno przy rafach, nurkowie byli dosłownie metr czy dwa pod osobami, które snurkowały, przez co trzeba było bardzo uważać, żeby nie uderzyć się o butle czy ich płetwy. Statki poruszały się, gdy w wodzie byli jeszcze ludzie, przez co było mi bardzo niedobrze od zapachu ropy, którą było czuć podczas pływania. Często pływaliśmy też wokół papieru toaletowego, który dryfował pod wodą, ponieważ ludzie korzystali z toalet podczas postoju statków. Co chwilę kazano nam wychodzić z wody, bo któryś ze statków musiał odpłynąć. Plus dla przewodnika nurka, który pokazywał pod wodą "sztuczki" związane z rafami. Za to ogromny minus dla przewodnika ze statku, który ogłaszał wszystko po rosyjsku i trzeba było upominać się, aby przetłumaczył na angielski innym turystom to co właśnie powiedział.
