We booked three rooms for our group and I sent an email beforehand requesting our rooms to be close by and facing the sea. When we arrived, we found out that one of the rooms is on a higher floor. Luckily they were able to change the rooms and place us together, but why not do it immediately. Additionally, we were celebrating a birthday, for which I requested for a piece of cake to be brought to the room before our arrival as a surprise. Once we entered the rooms, I was disappointed to see that no cake was brought. I asked the reception about it and they brought truffles to the room immediately. But the next day they brought a piece of cake to another room and added the charge to the room. This was a very confusing situation since I had detailed the date, time, and birthday person beforehand. In one of the rooms there was only one large towel for two adults. There was only one adult robe, the second robe was for a child. Two women from our group had massages at the Wellness Spa and were extremely disappointed in the service. One masseuse commented on tattoos the guest had, with judgement toward people who do get tattoos, and especially commented on the large size of the back tattoo. For another lady, a male masseuse was assigned without any warning or checking if it's okay. The massage required the guest to be completely stripped and the guest felt extremely uncomfortable. The masseuse also seemed rather unfriendly. The housekeeping staff was very angry-looking, unapproachable and unfriendly. Reacted with a loud sigh to our question. The breakfast was very varied with a lot of options. We felt that lactose and gluten sensitivities were taken into account and no one had to go hungry. The service at the bar was friendly and fast, which we really appreciate. However, the food is overpriced and the portions smaller than expected, the chicken wings especially. There is no way 5 small wings cost 8.50€ (we checked the size prior to ordering and were told the portion...

Cons: Rooms were ok, but a little bit old, even with upgraded room. Comparing with the prices - not something you expect Massage, massage itself was good, but table was old and uncomfortable, there was no atmosphere, and massage room was not looking good Restaurant, all dishes which we ordered were very mediocre and service was quite slow, but the prices can be compared to best restaurants in Haapsalu And absolutely the worst thing, that we ever experienced in any hotel during any stay, were spiders. When we returned from SPA to our room it was filled with spiders. The sign in the room was saying to not open window, so insects will not get inside, and we didn't, later this night we noticed that spiders actually are all over the hotel. And that was not some small spiders in the corner of the room, google giant house spiders, and you'll see what we are talking about. Spiders were literally everywhere, on the ceiling, on the walls, and even in our bed!!! We were freaked out, and called to a reception: they offered to clean the room from spiders or change the room. So we decided to change the room and hope that it will be better, but the next room offered was even worse! It was not cleaned, so there was trash, towels thrown around and, of course, filled with spiders also, but this time spider web was even hanging from ceilings. So we asked this time to clean our room if it is possible, and hotel send us cleaning lady. We together with her were killing spiders, but they are hiding from the light and God knows how many of them were still in the room, and we barely could sleep there. Horrible experience, and definitely I will never return to that hotel in my lifetime. Sorry for too many letters, I hope this review will save somebody from experience...
Read moreWe stayed here for seven nights in May as our base for a birdwatching tour of the region. I had looked at the hotel's website in advance of our visit and to be honest it didn't look anything special. Our experience was much better than this and we were delighted with our stay.||The rooms are functional but very comfortable, befitting a spa experience. There was plenty of storage space, a very comfortable bed, a spacious bathroom with a good shower and very good air conditioning, which was very welcome in the unexpectedly hot weather.||The dining room was very spacious and the breakfast offering was very good with a large choice of well prepared food and drinks; this was definitely a great start to a long day in the field. We ate dinner here a couple of times and, whilst the menu was a little limited, the quality was great.||The position of the hotel is very good, being a short walk from the old town and on the edge of a nice lake, used by many people for recreation and with a good circular walk to gain a little exercise.||There are extensive spa facilities in the hotel, available free to residents. Unfortunately we weren't able to take advantage of these as we were too busy but those whom did said that they were very enjoyable and invigorating.||This is a very nice hotel and, if we were to visit Haapsalu again we would certainly want...
