Iglupark — Hotel in Tallinn

SCAM ALERT My partner and I stayed at the Iglupark last night. We found that the accomodation and what was offered was falsely advertised and of poor quality.

-we booked accomodation with a sea view, there is no view of the open sea. -there is a construction site next door. -the staff member who checked us in told us that services would be available to guests “24/7” and to reach out if we needed anything -despite being advertised as closing at 11pm, when we visited the bar at 8:45pm we found it closed -despite being advertised as being open till 11pm, when we went to reception after finding the bar closed we found that was closed, too. -despite being told we could call a phone number for service and help when I called this number, multiple times, there was no answer. -when I made these complaints to the Iglupark staff member in the morning and then via email, on both occasions Iglupark defended staff for lying to guests, printed misinformation and abandoning the park. -the breakfast we paid 19 euro for in the morning was delivered cold, wet, inedible.

Great sauna experience, I didn’t stay or do a private sauna, but being able to talk and make friends at the sauna is better and cheaper. They had three saunas and places to wash off in separate areas. And if you want to be brave you can jump into the Baltic after a hot sauna. They also had electric and wood fired saunas. I will say though that you should come early for the Public sauna as it can fill up fast around 10 or 11am even during a week day. If you come when it snows make sure you bring slippers as the snow and salt can be harsh on bare feet. This is a wonderful place in the habour area of Tallinn. The small and cozy houses are located directly at the waterside and you will have a great view on the baltic sea from your bed. In the morning there is the chance to use the sauna for free.

From the location you can reach most of the historic sides, many nice restaurants and bars via short walks or just take the public transport options nearby. In most cases we did not want to walk, we used Bolt as primary transport solution.

In the evening you have the chance to visit the bar of the Igluupark and enjoy some last drink.
