Suvila — Restaurant in Tallinn

Unfortunately, we were welcomed to this restaurant with a very cold attitude from staff at the bar. Even after trying the most friendly approach to have an encounter, I was left with a feeling we were bothering the staff and should leave rather than enjoy our stay.

Any questions laid were met with rolling eyes, silence, or sarcastic answers. Hungry as we were, we still ordered drinks and pizza. Heading to the tables, we found them dirty. After the food arrived, we asked for utensils, which were missing, and the kind but visibly stressed staff member from the kitchen promised to bring us tools to eat with. Sadly, we never saw these tools before getting up and fetching them from the kitchen by ourselves.

Drinks left a lot to hope for, and if I were you, I would order cans or bottles, not lemonades or anything that is prepped at the bar.

Food, in our case pizzas Caramellito and Suvila, tasted plainly of dough and tomato sauce. A good pizza doesn't need much more than that, but this is not gonna be THE pizza you are gonna remember.

If your main focus is not food, drinks, or friendly customer service, I would say this is nice terasse to spend your time at - with a restaurant...

2 stars for vibe and friendly service. Food...Carrot cream soup was outstanding. Presentation is appealing. They were out of pizza. I thought, how can one mess up pasta our days? Looks like it is still possible. We ordered gorgonzola and carbonara. Soinds pretty simple and basic. But there is a big difference between " al dente" and under cooked". What supposed to be simple carbonara, was undercooked to point of impossibility of compsuption. Plus it was suprisingly spicy. Guys, your cooks need to step up! Even though we love the vibe and staff, if food is so -so, Tallinn has very big competition. There are cafe's and restaurants practically on...

There is unfortunately no minus star for this place. On a poring day the guests are lest outside listening to the staff drinking and smoking within the restaurant and realise that upon finally opening (opening hours are definitely very wrong and there is no sign about them), you find a dirty table full of heavy alcohol, drinking and smoking...and you feel like "why the hell do you come and bother us"...Pizza oven was far from being lit and ready, so we avoided to leave. There is no sign that this is a place for adult private parties...well I guess now we know and as locals will definitely avoid the place and spread this...
